Una ubicació sorprenent i remota que ofereix una escapada tranquil·la i reconexió amb la natura. Els visitants van elogiar els guardians amigables i servicials, especialment Mary i Jim, que van crear un ambient acollidor. Les instal·lacions estan ben equipades, inclosa una cuina completa i dutxes d'aigua calenta, tot i estar fora de la xarxa sense electricitat, senyal de telèfon ni WiFi. Em va agradar Very striking remote location with stunning scenery. I camped on the grounds as opposed to staying in the hostel itself, but having a toilet and kitchen on-hand was good to know.
The host was very friendly and welcoming and a cup of tea on arrival was much appreciated!
No em va agradar Not dislikes but couple of things to mention;
- for motorcyclists, the roads near the hostel could be a challenge if you had eg a sportsbike; a combination of loose gravel, steep inclines and switchbacks on a single lane. All very doable, but just flagging in case you arrive by bike.
- there are a lot of midges in the evening/early morning, which again isn't a dislike, it just is what it is, but definitely come with bug spray

Em va agradar Warden was really nice and helpful. Was on time at the property and explained, even shared bit of history of this lonely but beautiful house in middle of the valley. Kitchen had lot of things which we were free to use, overall great experience.

A wonderful welcoming get away if you don’t mind basic.

Em va agradar Dolgoch is an amazing place to let everything go, reconnect with nature and understand what we really need. Went there with my 14yr old son for a short getaway. We loved the place, the other guests and especially the lovely warden Mary and her 2 friends. We had the most wonderful conversations in the evening. They really looked after us and the other guests. What made it even more special is that all wardens are volunteers. We didn’t miss electricity or WiFi. The kitchen is well stocked with hobs, oven, drinking water, pots, pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery. The shower can get really hot after a warm, sunny day. The location is really peaceful and quiet during the night and the day. Everyone is relaxed and you start feeling like part of a new family after a couple of days.
No em va agradar There is nothing to dislike if you don’t have unrealistic expectations. It is what it says on the tin, basic, no Wi-Fi, no mobile phone reception. But everything you need for your stay. Something to be aware of: if there are many people staying, the shower may be cold - but this adds to the fun ;-). The beds are comfortable- we stayed in the 4-bed private room - as long as you are less than 6 foot. And beware of the southern bridle path if you are hiking. It is very boggy for 1.5 miles and treacherous- rather use the road on the other side of the valley.

Em va agradar Jim the warden welcomed us into the cosy main room with a roaring fire after we'd been out in the rain for hours! The bunkhouse is in a beautiful, very remote, location. The accommodation is wonderfully basic - no mains electricity, signal or wifi! But the rooms were clean and comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed.
