Càmping tranquil en entorn rural bonic i aïllat. Elògits per l'amfitriona, Hannah. Places espaioses, fogueres, cuina rústica ben equipada. Tendes tipus "bell tent" còmodes. Instal·lacions netes. Ideal per explorar la costa i el camp. Molts valoren positivament l'estar desconnectats (sense electricitat).

Em va agradar Lovely site, tent was set up beautifully and the tea, coffee and biscuits were much appreciated. The tent was warm and comfortable and held up to very strong wind and rain!
The kitchen area was great and had plenty of usual utensils to borrow. Hannah was really helpful and responded to queries straight away.
No em va agradar I think the site could use another toilet.

Em va agradar The calm serenity of this wonderful camp site. Enjoyed the outdoor shower and the quirky outdoor kitchen/diner. Perfect for going to the Clacton Air Show as the train station was only a 20 min walk away down the farm track.
Shall make use of pit fire next time.

Em va agradar Peacefulness, quirky but functional kitchen. Friendly and helpful owners, cleanliness. Secluded location but not too far from urbanity. Can't comment on WiFi, too busy enjoying other things!

Em va agradar How quiet it was, that it was off the beaten track and there was a gas hob to use.
That Hannah came to welcome us.
No em va agradar The porta toilet, if the field was full 1 porta loo wouldn't be enough. Also would probably smell.
The shower was very small and with a small child we wouldn't have been able to get in with her too shower.
Nowhere to refreeze freezer blocks making it hard to keep food.
The field has long grass, uneven, thistles and stinging nettles.
We left a night early.

Del gerent: Oh dear! It sounds like you aren't suited to "off grid" (fyi no electric) camping as clearly described in the site information.
I will first address your hypothetical dislike: Yes, indeed if we had a 15 pitch site one porta loo would not suffice. However, we have a maximum of four pitches. Saying a toilet would "probably" smell is also hypothetical and not a valid complaint. In fact, any toilet has the potential to smell depending on who has used it...The shower is clearly depicted on the site information with several photos which again, had you had properly looked at the site information you would have realised this.
There is no where on site to re-freeze ice blocks because we are OFF GRID!!! (no electric). I do however provide a cool box in the kitchen area (as seen in your photo!) with ice blocks in which I kindly freeze at home and top-up daily.
Thistles and stinging nettles: These are part of the countryside along with spiders and smells. Whilst I check the 3 acre field for any hazardous litter I cannot be responsible for the odd small thistle or stinging nettle you may encounter. It is a field and not a lawn after all...
Great place if you want to go off grid, ideal for small groups, 👌

Em va agradar What a lovely setting, not having people on top of you is definitely a great environment, the allowance of the fire pit made the evenings magical, Hannah always had a smile, watching the harvest come in was a really positive experience, the toilet was always clean, the kitchen area allowed us to wash up in warm/hot water. There is passable mobile network connectivity on both voice and Data..... The area has lots to see, both by the coast and heading inland. Supermarkets close by, and loved you could park near the sea for free most of the time...
No em va agradar You are definitely off grid. That means No power anywhere, no ability to charge phone, and/or small powered cool box. There are no Power Points at all. While I put this as a dislike, it is also a good reason to come here..... While the site is small if all slots were filled with capacity, the single portaloo (probably the nicest portaloo I have ever used), and shower could be a problem.... That being said it was not a problem on our trip as site had spare capacity. I wish Hannah all the best with the venture.

Em va agradar Quiet site in an excellent location - surroundings are gorgeous!
Host was welcoming and helpful. There is a toilet and shower on site, as well as a kitchen facility. All very rustic - just perfect for the site. We loved it!
