Em va agradar: The accommodation was superb. Clean and very presentable. The view of the night sky was unbelievable. We were close enough for a trip to Hadrian’s wall and also an afternoon into Newcastle and the MetroCentre. My 12 year old loved the football pitch and my 7 year old enjoyed sitting on the platform over the water and watching the insects etc. an evening around the fire pit watching the stars was perfect way to end our stay.
No em va agradar: We couldn’t find our BBQ and so had to cook the food we’d brought to BBQ inside…but this the smallest issue we found and didn’t really affect our stay at all.

Em va agradar: Really good stay at Tarset Tor, Kielder Forest is a must.
The town of Bellingham has plenty of things to do and a play park for kids.
In terms of the accommodation you couldn’t fault and comms were perfect.
No em va agradar: The weather but that’s unpredictable!

Em va agradar: One of the best places we’ve ever stayed - owners were super friendly and helpful, had everything we needed, everything was working and clean and the views were amazing. Can’t find a flaw with it - would definitely visit again!

Em va agradar: The place itself has stunning views, the bothys are really great and the hosts at Tarset Tor are incredibly friendly and helpful! We had a fantastic long weekend there and would definitely visit again.
Hexham and Bellingham are both nearby and are lovely places too.

Em va agradar: The area and views are stunning, we staying as competing in the Northumbrian triathlon 20 minutes away, great location. It has everything you need and want we had teenagers with us and a dog.

Em va agradar: The place was fabulous, the owners so helpful and friendly! The whole place is fenced/walled in so you can let the kids explore without worry and even our young dog could wander to his hearts content.
All the cleaning products and washing up things are already there so no need to bring with you.
Kids loved the play area!
Clean and tidy outside and inside.
Beautiful views and peace and quiet.
Just be aware - There is NO mobile signal unless on a certain provider (we weren’t) Wifi did randomly drop out but to be honest it was nice being left alone for a week.

Em va agradar: Fantastic location and a different family experience with Bothy accommodation. Bothy’s was lovely, a good size even with a family of 7 with good amenities and provision of basics. Made to feel very welcome by Rob and Claire (and the dogs) and Rob gave recommendations of things to do locally. Unfortunately the cloud only gave us one fully clear night for stargazing, although we had a good view of meteors. View from the Bothy is stunning and there are plenty of local trails for walking/running. Site is well placed for visiting Kielder reservoir and Hadrians Wall and the local scenery is stunning. If you’re happy to venture a little further then the east coast is just over an hour away. Alnwick Castle and the Beach at Bamburgh are a must and I highly recommend the boat trips to the islands from Seahouses.
