Banish any visions of a stressy holiday stuck in hot cars and slow traffic out of your head… At North Shore Holiday Centre, a family-friendly Lincolnshire site 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Skegness, you won’t have to travel far to stay busy once you arrive. North Shore is on the outskirts of Skegness, and there’s plenty of seaside resorty things to do within easy reach of the site: the sandy beach, pier and town centre are all within walking distance, and you’ll have to drive for less than 15 minutes to get to the museum, nature reserve, aquarium or theme park. There’s tons to keep you busy on site too: play a round of miniature golf, perfect your end-game at the nine-hole pitch and putt, have a go at bowls or boules, try out the arcade games and go game-set-match on the tennis courts. Feeling peckish? There are oodles of eateries within 25 minutes’ walk of North Shore, or you can settle in for a meal on site – call in to the fully-licensed bar-restaurant, then stick around for the evening’s entertainment.

No em va agradar They tell you there is no hot water to the showers but at this time of year I don’t turn the heat on to them until the Easter break. There is no fresh cold water at Sis to brush your teeth. It is all hot water if you don’t wish to catch anything do not go.

Em va agradar Quick and easy to check in. Clean facilities. Close to sea front and easy to find. Able to take dog.

No em va agradar We stayed in a pod which was close to the entrance which became quiet noisey after dark. Check out wasn't open when we came to leave.

Em va agradar Stayed here a few times now and always been a pleasure. In the perfect location, pitches are lovely spaced out and such an easy site to pitch up and get on with your day. Staff are extremely helpful. As always will always be back again, can't fault anything.

Em va agradar Good size and level pitch, was given a pitch as per my specific request. Warm welcome from the member of staff. Great location for getting a bus to other destinations and walking back on the coastal path, bus stop right outside the the site

No em va agradar Facilities block very dated, showers were not good at all, no where to sit when getting dressed, no partition so it was a struggle to keep clothes dry, hooks on the door were useless items fell off, I ended up putting my clothes and towel over the door to try and keep them out of the range of the shower water

Kids will want to dive into the aquarium, the fairground and the brightly lit amusements of the pleasure pier, while grownups might have more appreciation for the Naturelands seal sanctuary or The Village, Church Farm open-air museum. Want something for everyone? The entire family should be entertained with trips to Fantasy Island theme park (in nearby Ingoldmells), the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway and the stock car and bangers racing at Skegness Raceway, all within 10 minutes of the site. When you want to take your adventuring beyond the bounds of the seaside town, you can find peace 15 minutes away from the thrill rides and squealing tyres with visits to Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve or the flat Lincolnshire Wolds for cycling and walking trails, or by making a pitstop at the spectacular Gunby Hall and Gardens for a taste of splendour. For a quirkier outing, make your way a little further afield for a night at the Kinema in the Woods, believed to be the only full-time cinema in the UK still using rear projection for screenings. Screen one is home to an organ covered in 18th-century-style lacquered consoles and screen two has trompe l’oeil-style paintings of rural Lincolnshire on its walls.
