Looking for a little bit of Leicestershire luxury? Woodland View Glamping is a fine spot for some of that – the high-spec pods here sit in their own three-acre pasture, with gorgeous rural views all around and plenty of lovely touches both inside and out. The owners of this site have been living here for many years, on a dairy farm that had passed down through several generations. After selling off the main farm business a few years back, they retained this part of the land and dedicated themselves to setting up a couple of glamping pods to allow guests to share in the rural experience. Great attention to detail has gone into this place – and a case in point is the way the pods have been angled to give them the best view of the sunset from the outdoor deck area. Each pod has its own outdoor seating and barbecue/firepit to help you make the most of your outdoor time, with complimentary logs, kindling and matches provided to get your blaze going. Inside, it’s all just as lovely – each pod sleeps up to four (in a double bed and double sofa bed) and has its own kitchen area (with hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge). There’s also an ensuite shower room and a smart TV. Bedding and towels are provided to help you travel light, and you’ll be given a complimentary welcome pack to get you going too. All in all it’s a comfy and stylish stay – but also a rural one, so you’ll be able to see the cows being milked on site, take walks on the bridlepaths by the farm and find country pubs nearby. Dogs are welcome, and can sleep in a secure outdoor kennel by your pod.

Em va agradar What an absolute delight it was to stay here with my family!

The perfect place to get away for the weekend, out in the country but not too far from local attractions.

We arrived to a lovely welcome basket filled with farm fresh products, including a delicious homemade cake. The glamping pod was the perfect size, extremely clean and with tonnes of outdoor space. (Very much needed with 2 kids & 2 dogs).

We were lucky enough to watch the cows be milked and even got to feed a calf and hear all about the milking process, the kids are still talking about it now!

They even have a farm stand on site which came in super handy over the course of the weekend - the sausage rolls are divine!

We will definitely be coming back if we’re ever over that way again.

Janet & Andrew couldn’t have been more welcoming. They truly have it mastered for what it takes to make a stay memorable.

P.S - our vote for the next cows name is Marshmoolow!

Em va agradar Spotless well appointed pod in a lovely location. It was lovely to sit out each morning for breakfast and look out over the countryside. It's obvious how much care and effort goes into this place by the owners - from the beautiful roses and plants between the 2 pods to the thoughtful and delicious welcome goodies.

Em va agradar Honestly, we can't praise this place enough. The owners Andrew & Janet have created a very special, hidden gem with incredible countryside views. The glamping pods are roomy, immaculate and comfy.

Everything you need is included, they have included so many special touches, like games, local info, wood for the firepit and even a tasty glass of sloer - much welcome after a long drive on a hot day!

The welcome pack included fresh eggs, bread, butter, cheese, jam, milk and and an amazing cake baked by Janet.

Andrew is so knowledgeable about his cows and showed the kids how they are milked and let us help feed the calves. Sheep and donkeys in the paddock are so adorable - and not forgetting Cocoa the family dog!

We loved our stay and will return! Thank you Andrew and Janet for sharing your very special slice of heaven with us x

Em va agradar Beautiful pod which is well equipped for all yours needs. What made this so special were the little extra touches, the welcome from the owner, the offer to see the cows be milked, the home baked cake. Exceptional and very good value. We will be back soon.

Em va agradar Comfy pods, completly in nature, accommodation is on a small working farm with sheep and cows that are friendly. all your amenities in the pod. Great little place. I was greates upon arrival, home made bread, a victoria sponge, butter milk and cheese in the fridge, fire pit and table with 4 chairs outside,great place to come and unwind

If you like traditional British food, Melton Mowbray (10 minutes’ drive) should certainly be on your schedule – it’s the home of the classic pork pie and Stilton cheese, both of which make fine inclusions for a picnic. There’s also a farmers’ market on a Friday and plenty of places to eat. For bigger urban adventures, take trips to Leicester (for the National Space Centre and King Richard III Visitor Centre) or Nottingham (for the City of Caves) – both are about half an hour’s drive.
