Hidden away on the banks of the Hérault, this family-friendly naturist site is a peaceful location for holidays in the open air. This respectful and private site is a welcoming environment for both seasoned naturists and those new to all-nude breaks. Leisurely times in and by the water are in plentiful supply here, and guests will find ample opportunities for river swimming, fishing and canoeing in its quiet riverside surroundings. In addition, Camping Naturiste La Source Saint Pierre has a spacious outdoor swimming pool that's kept warm by a heat pump and solar system. There's also a whirlpool zone, three waterslides, a hammam and a jacuzzi, all of which are included in the price. For more active, land-based entertainment, you could take the kids to the site's spring-loaded trampoline, get the whole family exercising over a game of table tennis or challenge your new neighbours to a friendly pétanque tournament. Throughout the summer months, the site team lays on a lively entertainment schedule to keep you in high spirits, including karaoke evenings, dance nights and themed meals at the restaurant. For dinner, you could pull up a table on site and take the time for a sit-down meal, but there are also take-away dishes like chips, pizzas, ice creams and soft drinks on offer for when you just want a quick snack. Both Aniane and Gignac (five to 10 minutes' drive) have more food options, including supermarkets.

The local area is full of splendid sights you'll want to see, including Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert (15 minutes' drive), a remote town surrounded by hills whose scenic credentials are backed up by its classification as one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France (France’s most beautiful villages). A 10-minute drive away, you also have the Pont du Diable, an old stone bridge that crosses a steep-sided gorge with emerald-coloured water below. You might also want to go for underground tours of the spectacular Clamouse caves (10 minutes), hiking in the foothills of the Cévennes mountains (20 minutes) or out to the rugged shores of Lac du Salagou (30 minutes) for remote open-air swims surrounded by nature. If you’re planning trips further afield, this is a fine Hérault department location to pick: within just over half an hour you can be strolling through the streets of Montpellier's old town, while the Mediterranean beaches of Sète or Cap d'Agde are roughly 45 minutes away. For grand Roman relics, antiques markets and splendid city parks, try the highly-recommended town of Nîmes (an hour and 10 minutes).
