Liked: Clean, compact, centrally located cabins with fully-equipped kitchen. Lovely, friendly staff who are helpful and accommodating. The mild mannered kangaroos roaming the area adds to the experience!

2 bedroom cabin (no pets, value)

Liked: Master bed was comfortable. Bathroom was updated.

Disliked: Bunk room and beds were tiny and not comfortable for young adult children - were too short with bars to climb to top, not ladder. Lower bed was at floor level - horrible. Unit dingy with kitchen inc chairs, table, couch sink etc not updated since the 1980s. Dingy. While accepting this was a budget unit, $190 for a single night is not a budget price.

Local attractions

The whole family can take part in a game of golf on the 18-hole course at Grampians Adventure Golf, Adventure Cafe Bar & MOCO Gallery (five minutes’ drive). The site, shaded by dense bushland vegetation, is home to kangaroos and deer, plus loud kookaburras and squawking cockatoos. The gallery runs artist-led workshops for those who want to hone their painting skills. Lemurs, meerkats and red pandas all live at Halls Gap Zoo (five minutes). Also here are larger mammals like giraffes and cheetahs, plus native animals like toothy Tasmanian devils and blue-tongued skinks. You can also get up close and personal to many of the residents, including dingos and lizards. The arid landscape of Little Desert National Park (one and a half hours) becomes a colourful riot of wildflowers in the spring. This is a top spot for birdwatching, with more than 200 species living here, including nightjars and cuckoos.

Admission

Admission is only permitted after registering at reception.
All guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms.
At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
Unsupervised minors must have a letter of authorisation from their parents or legal guardian.

Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
The site will send you further check-in information 2 day(s) before your arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 7 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed during high season between 01/12 and 31/01.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
Guide dogs are allowed on site free of charge.

General

Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
In the event of a complaint, please speak to reception immediately. Complaints which are not brought to the management's attention during your stay cannot be dealt with once you have left the site.
Public areas are non-smoking.
The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
The site is not liable for any refund in the event of force majeure.
