In a great countryside location, Happy Jakes Touring Park is three miles from the market town of Cowbridge and only 15 miles from the Welsh capital city of Cardiff. This site is perfect for a quiet relaxing break and is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area.
Happy Jakes accepts motorhomes, caravans, trailer tents and tents. Tents are located within a central area of the site which is on level ground with open unbounded pitches. Motorhomes, caravans and trailer tents are located around the edge of the site on 14m-square grass pitches with electric hook-up.
Within close proximity is the Glamorgan Heritage Coast, which offers beautiful beaches, secluded coves, dramatic cliff top views, fantastic walks and surfing hotspots. For more traditional seaside fun, the nearby resort of Barry Island offers a wide sandy beach, cafes, attractions and family amusements.
Close by are plenty of places to explore – castles, parks, gardens, farm parks, vineyards, historic market towns and pretty villages. For the more active there’s karting, paintballing, fishing, walking, cycling, horse riding, surfing and golf.
After a day out there’s no better place to relax than one of the many delightful olde worlde pubs with real ales and affordable and varied menus. If you prefer to cook on site local farm shops, fruit farms and farmers' markets are the perfect places to sample local produce.

Very welcoming and friendly site. Excellent facilities Caroline L. (Mature couple, 1 review, 0 photos) Confirmed ?
Liked: Very clean showers and toilets, large pitches, food facilities available if you don't want to cook. Childrens play area and large dog walk away from site. Mark and Mandy are very friendly and welcoming and always around if you need anything. Can't wait to visit again. 5* site Disliked: The councils decision not to put signs for the site from the Cowbridge side but absolutely nothing wrong with the camp itself at all. |
