  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: The site warden was super friendly and helpful! Very nice welcome to site and choice of pitch. Showers were spacious and lovely hot water with great water pressure. Had a very quiet and peaceful stay, just what was needed. Great value for money, happy with my stay! There were washing machines and dryers but out of service - would be fantastic when these are back in service.

Disliked: The drain under the water tap was blocked so had to pour my grey water away in the sink (couldn't see anywhere else to dispose). Unfortunately the chemical disposal point was also blocked when I used which must have been poor timing as I saw multiple people use it. It smelt very unpleasant and wasn't a very clean area.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Everything was fantastic. Much better than expected and I already thought it would be good. Perfect for a young family or friendly meet up. We were a family of 3 camping child was 3, and our friends in a caravan and we were all really happy with the site. Lady that checked us in was beyond nice and helpful. Checking us in when we were early, showing us the best site for our pitching, recommending places to eat and things to do. Even coming over of an evening before she closed to make sure we had enough change for the pool table! Thank you so much. Pitched are nice and spacious, as we went in a quiet time she said we could take up as much room as we needed. Pitches aren’t specifically tent or caravan so we and our friends could be side by side. When we went it rained 80% of the time and the field didn’t get muddy and boggy which was a mega bonus for us! Park is brilliant for smaller children and includes a sandpit which was quite large! It’s nice and central, next to the facilities too so most pitches were in view of it. Enclosed site so can turn my back on child without fear he’s run off and as mentioned all pitches are based around the central facilities and park so everywhere is in view so to speak. Great location, right next to river and fields with public park. Short drive to major attractions, we went to chessington and it was 28 minutes away, not too far is the high street and multiple food places and shops. Facilities were clean/ stocked and right in centre of site. The ladies was large with toilets, showers and more than enough space to swing a cat (not recommended) they were really clean and always stocked. Games room has a little something for everyone. It had a dart board, pool table, table tennis and a tv. Once again there was plenty of space in there, seems more like a village hall than other games rooms which were literally rooms.

Disliked: No real dislike. Feel like some people may dislike that it is in the Heathrow flight path so the noise of planes is noticeable during takeoffs Also seems to be in a helicopter flight path as well? Possibly also Heathrow (I’m not an aviation expert) The m3 is near by so that is the low background noise of an evening But with all that it’s a nice quiet spot still do NOT think it is constant noise or loud it is really nice and peaceful
