Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: The view from the pitch was lovely Shower/Toilets kept pristine. Lovely unlimited hot water in the shower. Site very secure with keypad entry. In a lovely area of Cheshire with easy access to wherever we needed to get to. Aldi not far away for shopping.

Disliked: No access to shower or toilet if in a wheelchair, entry way far too narrow. Had to leave just outside. No shelter undercover against the rain to leave the wheelchair when using the shower ( I am an ambulant user). Could do with a stool or chair to put things on when drying yourself

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Beautiful views. Well kept pitches. Some pitches are really great but some are less so (e.g. by loos, under trees, no grass). Peaceful and quiet site. Nice dog walks around farm on firm short grass. Handy for M6 night stopover. Clean facilities. Very easy booking via Pitchup.

Disliked: Hate to leave a bad review. But we had to share our pitch. We'd booked well in advance and arrived 6pm on a Fri night. Had the last pitch available (no.6). Although there is still a view from pitch, there's no grass area whatsoever and it feels like a yard. About 9pm another van parked in our 'yard'. Apparently there was an over booking & the van was sent to park next to us. Terrible really, so beware! We pointed out there were lots of more appropriate places to stick an extra van, but presumably the site didn't want to mess up the "best" pitches. Didn't get 50% refund either. Shame as we travel up/down M6 regularly.

From the manager: Thank you for your disappointing review, the "yard' pitch has no grass as its at the end of that part of the site, that is where you would have turned round so unable to have grass there. There was an issue with the booking system, which very rarely happens, the van was put more than 6 meters away from your van and is the only area where I can get electric to them. I'm sorry this upset you, but occasionally, things go not as planned and have to be resolved

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: The farm was as one expects a farm to be. The pitches were large and the grass around the site was well kept, so no soaked shoes if one had to walk across it. The shower and toilets, although limited in numbers were nicely decorated with good fittings and clean. Didn't interact with any staff/owners as only stayed 2 nights. The views across from the site were great, although the weather was whilst we were there; not their fault! Recommended site.

Disliked: Limited toilet/shower capacity. But not a big problem.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Pitch size, views, tidyness, Alpacas and goats Location, peaceful.

Disliked: Lack of consideration for disabled persons. I requested a pitch close to a shower but because the site was full we ended up on the last pitch available. Too far for me to get to, the gravel was also an issue. No sign of any staff or "Nick" the whole 4 days we stayed. A site plan would be good for new visitors to download.

From the manager: Thank you for your review, unfortunately I have no staff..its just me ...also running the farm,I'm always contactable if needed

Local attractions

Feel like you were born in the wrong century? You’re well placed here for a taste of old-world splendour: tour the house, gardens and farm at Tatton Park 25 minutes’ drive from the site, or get along to Little Moreton Hall, Arley Hall and Gardens or Capesthorne Hall, all within 40 minutes. You may need a bit of high-octane after all that stately exploration, so head to Oulton Park Circuit (one of the most scenic tracks in the UK) for track days and races, or zip over to Alton Towers, just over an hour away, for days spent clinging to coasters. For a break from the endless countryside, you’re 50 minutes from the city of Chester, where you can wander the city walls, explore the Victorian and medieval streets, clamber around the remains of Chester Castle and call into Grosvenor museum to learn about what the city was like when it was under Roman rule. You can also add a little bit of the exotic to your trip with a stop at Chester Zoo before heading home. Not enough city for you? The museums, distilleries, gardens and stadiums of Manchester are about 50 minutes away, and the docks, stunning buildings and (of course) Beatles tours of Liverpool are just over an hour’s travel from base.
