If you can’t decide whether to opt for a chilled out break or something a bit more lively, then Buy One Get One Free at Breydon Water Holiday Park, near Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads.
It’s essentially two parks in one: the first is Yare Village, perfect for those looking for an active, family-oriented vibe, with its toasty outdoor pool, crazy golf, and a buzzing schedule of sports, kids’ activities and evening entertainment; or, just ten minutes’ walk away, you’ll find the more sedate Bure Village, where there’s an indoor pool, solarium and gym. Wherever you choose to lay your head, you get to enjoy all the action at both Breydon Water locations.
Nearby attractions and activities
Great Yarmouth, a short drive away, has masses of fun attractions - too many to list here, but to give you a notion: the Sea Life aquarium, mini choo-choos and tiny townsfolk at Merrivale Model Village and Gardens, the Elizabeth House Museum, where visitors can don Tudor fashions and find out what life was really like below stairs for Victorian scullery maids, or the exhilarating indoor circuit at Karting 2000.
There are more than 50 acres of adrenaline rides, plus parrot and sea lion shows and an Alpine chair lift at Pleasurewood Hills in Lowestoft. For those seeking more genteel pursuits, also near Lowestoft is Somerleyton Hall, a majestic Tudor-Jacobean pile with pleasure gardens and a maze, home to the Crossley Carpets dynasty.
Drive a little further and you can explore the beautiful wetlands and waterways of the Norfolk Broads, or head south to gorgeous Southwold and Aldeburgh in Suffolk.

Liked: We really enjoyed our stay at Breydon Water, we had a wonderful week and will definitely book to stay again next year. The food was great and evening entertainment fantastic.. Disliked: The cleanliness of the showers/toilets, I felt that these were not cleaned enough, and also the temperature of the water in the showers were far to hot, to the point of my 4 year old screamed and refused to shower. |

Wouldn't recommend!! carolinehealy902 (Family with young children, 1 review, 0 photos)
Liked: Lots for kids to do. The staff were friendly. Disliked: The toilets were in a disgusting condition, none of the soap dispensers worked in the male or female toilets, the hand dryers weren't working. No temp control on the showers and when showering with small children the water was far too hot and there was nothing I could do about it! The poo bin for dogs was overflowing!! |

Liked: We enjoyed our break very much. Very organised when arrived on site. Even shown exact spot to camp up by friendly gentleman. Breakfast bargain was very good value. Entertainment was excellent, especially the magician. All in all we had a great time. Lots of good places to visit nearby, so was on a good location - Breydon Water Holiday Park. Disliked: Amusement area for kids was quite limited, could have been bigger. Swimming pool was good outside though i thought it was quite deep. Toliet/shower areas were good though a few areas could have been better. |
