喜欢 Location for River, pubs,and cycling.

不喜欢 Improve communication with campers. Showers were cold, boiler had malfunction, however, it took almost 3 days to rectify! Considering that many people use these facilities including lake swimmers, the boiler should have had utmost priority. Pitch camping areas have been neglected, bramble and shrubbery have encroached upon! As a regular Andark campervaner, i have seen the grass pitch areas dwindle, shale on the access has been overbuilt and makes for very uneven pitching. Lake swimmers were very dominant,and waiting for toilet/shower access was a new experience!, albeit the showers cold! Dogs seem to be almost everywhere!, ..and in the Lake!, so my wife decided not to swim! I have been coming to Andark as a campervaner for over 7 years, ...this year, something has changed, and the proffessional "feel" was missing!..it would also seem as if campers are just an addition to regular Lake swimmers. What will happen at height of season with a field full of campers and a Lake with day swimmers...all needing shower/toilet facilities, ..i dont know!... I think general maintenance is missing, because even the mens shower room was not well attended, ..same mess on 3 days running!..mmmm. We left the site one day early!, as, although the boiler was repaired, the showers were only luke warm!!

喜欢 Setting, atmosphere,facilities, staff. Hamble river nearby with fabulous pubs!

不喜欢 Gravel pitch has become too invasive upon the allocated grass areas of no 1 and 3, pitches.

喜欢 Modern toilet and wash facilities,Hot shower water!, cafe and bar on site,well kept touring areas, all clean, tidy and quiet! Pitch area was superb with lovely view aspects!.Staff so friendly and happy!

喜欢 Everything!, we cannot fault the genuine, laid back hospitality, that Mike and the team provide. When camping, overlooking the Lake stirs tranquility!, if a chilled location is required, Andark has it!

不喜欢 Too much, "new" added gravel/chipping, which has eroded the grass areas on pitch no 1 & 3. If one has a small campervan with a much needed awning that is needing pegging out, then some pegging has to be in the hard gravel,.not easy... Just another three feet of grass to meet the hard surface would make a difference.

喜欢 Friendly, and always helpful staff. A quiet, professionally run site.Many pubs and venues nearby,..boating on the Hamble is a must! Michael, who manages hands on, is one of the most courteous, and knowledgeable members on Andark, nothing is too much trouble to ensure your stay is stress free! Cafe was buzzing!, great english breakfasts! We did note, that, Plots 2 and 3 seemed to have lost some grass areas, prob due to overzealous replacement chippings on hardstanding, many small campervans, like ours, need grass for awnings, especially pegging out guide ropes,..no fun banging tent pegs in chipping!..lol!

喜欢 friendly, near sea,easy cycling to village, good pubs and restaurants nearby. on site cafe was a delight! Toilet and shower facilities clean and excellent! level pitch with good room.

不喜欢 Our plot was positioned opposite childs football pitch!? why?,..big mistake!, children did play, and were naturally noisy. The club house on site had NO draught ale, and with only one choice of bottled ale!!??. However, a full range of draught Lagers were on dispense though!...ok, if one is just a Lager drinker, then!! Fifty pence tokens were needed to be purchased for showers!!..considering pitch prices, showers should be included! Upon leaving the site for home, we had just over a ten minute wait for someone to operate the barrier,!..this is an unfair practice, surely, sensors, placed approx a vans length apart to be activated when a van leaves, i.e, passing both sensors to open barrier, will save frustration,and still retain camp safety and privacy.

喜欢 the fact that we were able to use our favourite pitch! Nothing is too much trouble for Michael and the staff,if they can help you,..they will! An extremely friendly site!

喜欢 terrific hospitality and very friendly, thanks to Michael, the manager, and Pete, for friendly advice! We have stayed here before, but it appears the plot nos have changed?..what used to be plot no 1, seems to be plot 3,..which was what i thought i had booked,..but never mind, we had lovely views across the Lake!

不喜欢 Nothing to dislike!,.. but, having booked what we thought was the original plot 1.., was now plot 3, (am sure it was plot 1, a few years ago)..it seems the numbers have changed,..anyway, we were on plot no 1, lovely view, but the grass area for the awning on our small campervan only just fitted the grass area! tent pegs had to be put in the hardstanding and also guide ropes up onto the bank.The plots nos 1 and no 3 are very close together, had we not arrived before plot 3 was occupied, then it would have been difficult to put out guide ropes for our awning which is only 300x300, being a small campervan we need the awning!..and the grass to pitch! Please Mike, could the grass area on plot 1 be extended for just even one metre into the very long hardstanding? Not all campervans are self sufficient,..and need free standing awnings on the grass. Incidently, another small campervan arrived on plot 3 and had a same size awning as us erected...but, unlike us, he had a lot more grass pitch area! it was then you could see how close we were and how small our "square" grass plot really was!..anyway, we will return, ..Vanessa said thank you for excellent bacon rolls, and to Pete for the lovely flowers!..Kind regards to you all. Comments noted on the grass, over the winter with help of everyone's photo we are going to landscape some of the plots better to take into account some if not all of the shapes of awnings and also get 2 Motorhome hard standing in bigger field . 喜欢 The toilet and shower amenities very good, clean and always checked!..just lovely! cafe on site was a bonus, and we used it! Very friendly staff made for a family type atmosphere at all times.Our appreciation goes to Pete, who was a mind of helpfullness!..Thank you, Pete! Wanting a hook up with the view, was another great in my book!.Pitch no 1 was perfect!..(i must pre book this one next time to avoid dissapointment!..lol!).pleasantly looking out of camper across the Lake...just lovely! Pitch prices were very fair, and good value when compared to some others! The immediate area surrounding Lower Swanwick has quite a few lovely pubs and restaurants!..spoiled for choice! Having the river Hamble to hand, we took our dinghy and outboard, and ventured up river for a jolly!..what a break we had!

不喜欢 Fairly uneven pitch, no 1, Hook up pitches would benefit from some re levelling. The strip of land directly behind the building, between pitch 1 and 3, would lend itself to further, additional hook up pitches, as i can see that if pitches no 1 and 1a were in demand, then there could be a lot of disappointment for more hook up! Additionally, further hook up stations could be provided in the field via conduit. Site would benefit from additional dish/crockery wash stations, (incorporated with the building would be great!).

来自经理: Thank you for your lovely review and fantastic to hear you brought a Dinghy & Outboard to explore the Hamble River, not sure how far you ventured up? On another visit check out the tides and go up beyond the M27 Motorway Bridge to the upper reaches you can branch right towards the top and go to the Horse & Jockey Pub at Burridge (they have a landing stage of sorts), but need to go on a rising tide and return before it changes (only fairly shallow craft or canoes can make it up this far. We have got slightly stuck before and wadded dinghy back down. I agree Totally with the levelling - we only started to offer EHU in Mid-July after request's - so will improve the way we do for next year. When we close in Mid-October we plan to get a digger in and level whole area where Plots 1 - 3 are, and come up with combination of gravel hard standing and grass. So hopefully if you return to us next year we should have done this. So please you enjoyed the Pubs - there are about 15 Pubs within a 20 minute walk in different directions so not going to go hungry. I will pass on your kind comments to Pete Thank You.

喜欢 good flat pitch.

不喜欢 offensive noises eminating from others in evenings.. around 9pm! singing and ...instrument playing and singing?. late into night!, children playing football next to our tent and around the tent!..cars were supposed to park at side of tents, but nobody did!, most were in front restricting turning access and road width, children unsupervised riding cycles and scooters at speed between traffic accessing. No three pin plug points seemed availiable in toilet area and a reported non working hairdryer still went unrepaired,Shower facility was very basic, NO hot water pressure if you req the shower to actually shower!...just a drizzle, impossible to shower unless you like a cold one!..could not get near the pool, full of mostly children in and out!, just as well the adults obviously didnt want to swim!....need a bigger pool! or another. I accept its family orientated, but you cant hear yourself speak in the club for noise, ..better a separate area for adult drinking!...fish and chips were good, shame we had only wooden sticks to eat with! would have thought plastic knife and fork a good idea?...Amusement areas were good, the "card system", confusing and i would have preffered to just put money in any machine as when, didnt understand the accumulating points thing, ..nor did staff we asked..gave our card to some one else to use.Cant cook outside the tent when raining or windy! having camped for over 40 years, have always made use of sensible inside cooking arrangements. Its possible there may be some laxing of your rules to others, but then again,..staff should be aware?..We missed a breakfast,.. apparently,?..and were offered toast and butter, perhaps breakfasts are not that busy and early finishing are the order of the day...never mind. Anyway, we packed up one day early and i cut my losses.
