喜欢 We loved everything about this site and the camping pod experience. The location was great - in-between Keswick and Penrith, both within an easy 10 min drive. The scenery was amazing and we were blown away by the views of Blencathra from our pod. The facilities on the site were fantastic and we really appreciated the communal area with fridge and freezer to store food. There was laundry and washing up areas too which were very useful and came in handy. Everyone on site was really nice and it had a lovely family friendly atmosphere. Our pod was very impressive for our first time in this sort of accomodation - the heating was very effective and everything was in good working order. We had a very comfortable stay and will definitely be returning to Gill head farm soon!

不喜欢 My only negative was that it says on the campsite listing that you can only use fuel for a barbeque bought from the farm itself, however when we got there they did not have any coal and we had to drive out looking for somewhere nearby to buy it. If I had known they were likely to be out of stock we would have brought our own in the first place but didn't on purpose as we trying to respect the rules, but we know this now for next time.

喜欢 Beautiful site, friendly and helpful staff. Lovely lake/river to walk around with swans, they had 2 little cygnets when we were there :) walking distance to the village with places to eat.

不喜欢 Awful portaloos! Unclean, smelly and usually out of toilet tissue
