喜欢 Very generous size pitches. The site was quiet and relaxing. Friendly staff and the shower/toilet facilities were immaculate. I especially appreciated the fact that our pitch had its own water stand, which I think most of them did have

喜欢 This is a wonderful campsite to get away from it all. Magnificent views overlooking Glastonbury Tor, spectacular vista. Very low light pollution, ideal for stargazing on a clear night. Its never overcrowded, so plenty of space and distance from each other, even nicer as you turn up and decide where you want to go. You can rent fire pits and buy logs all at very reasonable costs. The showers are very good, as are the toilets, always very clean and tidy. For me this is my favourite wild camping site. Very good 4G/5G coverage

喜欢 The views from the site were spectacular, and the toilet and shower facilities were excellent, very clean and worked very well. There was loads of space on the site , ample places to chose from with regard to picking the tent. The site is very quiet and peaceful. Its a short drive from Wells (4.5 miles) where there is a large Morrisons supermarket with Cafe. The host Emma is just a lovely lady, friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back.

喜欢 If you like wild camping then this site is the perfect place for you. The welcome and introduction to the site was lovely. Before arriving I received clear instuctions about what to do and where to go. The site is a large and level field, with plenty of soace to pick a good spot that suits your needs. The ground is very firm and not muddy, as it did rain a few times, but the ground drained very well and quickly. The grass is kept short and well maintianed. As are the facilities on site. I was able to pitch my tent in area that was well away from other campers, and have plenty of space to pitch my large sized family tent. I could also easily set up and outside area for my fire pit and bbq. The shower and toilet facilities whilst basic, are more than adequate, the showers were warm and spacious. They were kept very clean and were the toilets, which were maintained every day. The loaction of the site is an easy 10 minute walk into Camelford and the facilities there, Cafe, pub serving food and shops including and Spar and a CoOp. The petrol station is a short drive on the out skirts of town. Camelford is ideally located to visit Tintagel, Padstow, Bodmin and Bodmin moors. There are some fabulous beaches nearby. Just a side note the phone coverage was excellent, I could get a very good 4G signal.

不喜欢 The lane or track on the entrance can get very muddy at rainy times and is a little rough to drive over.

喜欢 The campsite was spacious with loads of space around each pitch, you could pick pretty much any area of the field that you wanted to pitch in. You allowed BBQ's and small fires, which added to the wild camping experience. The owners were very friendly and introduced themselves on arrival, but then kept their distance unless you need them. I freezer was also supplied on site for free, which helped out massively in keeping food chilled with freezer blocks. In general the views from the site were lovely, the site was fairly isolated, nearest town with supermarkets in such as Tesco is Padstow, but a short distance further is Wadebridge, not as busy, and had an Aldi, B&M and a larger Tesco, which was very handy.

不喜欢 This site is a "Wild Camping Experience site", however a major failing is the condition of the toilet and shower block. Basically an old builders portacabin converted to a Ladies and Gents facilities. Eack having 1 shower and 2 toilets and a urinal. The shower, whilst worked very well and was fairly clean, was exceedingly small with barely enough room to move in the cubicle let alone get undressed or having anywhere to put anything without it getting soaked as you shower. There are no electrical points in the toilet blocks, so no use bringing a hair drier. The site is also next door to a chicken farm, so if you camp down on the left-hand side of the field, then you will be woken with the sound of a couple of cockerills crowing from when it gets light. The site also slopes off on a descent from right to left and towards the back of the field.
