喜欢 We had a lovely stay at this campsite. The site was really well kept, a nice size, and a pleasant place to stay. We had a pitch with the option of electric hook-up, although we chose not to use it. The play park was great and a lovely addition to the site for younger ones. It was also handy to have a bus nearby to get to and from York.

不喜欢 Personally, we prefer to have the option to select and pay for electric when booking online, as it just makes things easier for us. We also feel that showers should be included in the price rather than charged as an extra, although we were aware of this before arriving.

喜欢 We found this site on Pitchup after seeing all the great reviews. What really sold it to us was reading that the owners let kids get up close to the animals, which sounded lovely and it met our expectations. First impressions were great—it’s a really friendly, close-knit site. You can tell a lot of people come back regularly, which is always a good sign. The facilities have everything you need. The toilet block is really clean, and the communal area has way more than you’d expect—lots of toys, books, cooking bits, and a play park for the kids. The pitches are a really good size, and there are a couple of enclosed ones which are perfect if you’ve got a dog. There are also some nice walks straight from the site, and the views are amazing. On Saturday morning between 9 and 10, we got a little tour of the farm, which was a really nice touch. We met the Shetland pony, horse, donkey, goats, sheep and alpacas. My daughter was also offered a donkey ride, which she absolutely loved. After that, the sheep, goats and alpacas were brought into the site and walked around the pitches on leads. The kids got the chance to feed them treats and even walk them, which was a really fun experience. We’d definitely love to come back!
