喜欢 A quiet, clean, and pleasant campsite. A lovely pool area. Nothing fancy, just a nice place to be!

不喜欢 The only negative for us was a lack of fridge-freezers in which to re-freeze the ice blocks for our cool box.

喜欢 Lovely friendly welcome, beautiful views and walks, and an excellent location for exploring the Brecon Beacons. The campsite was quiet and respectful, even on the Friday evening when it was busier. The shower room was clean and pleasant.

不喜欢 Not a dislike especially, but just a point of which to be aware. The pictures show the toilet room and shower block. This room/block is down where the camper vans park. In the camping field there is a more basic compost toilet and shower set up in a horsebox. We walked down to the toilet room/shower block, as the horsebox was a bit too basic for us and our children. This was a bit of a walk down the hill, which didn't bother us, but might be too far for some. I think the intention is that the shower block is primarily for the camper vans, and the campers should use the horsebox. That arrangement wouldn't really have worked for us with two small children. As the site was not busy it didn't seem to cause a problem that we used the shower block, but if the site was busy this might be an issue.

喜欢 The toilet block and showers were of a good size and quite modern. However, the blocks closer to the entrance were better than those near the camping fields. The location is great for exploring this part of the Lake District. We also enjoyed the fish and chips.

不喜欢 We visited in the school summer holidays. We arrived on a Thursday when the site was relatively quiet, and found a pitch in a quiet corner of one of the camping fields. However, the following day a very large and noisy group arrived and pitched close to us. They played music very loudly until late at night, which made it difficult for us and our young children to sleep. The following day (Saturday) another large group arrived and pitched even closer to us. They began to play their own music, competing in volume with the other group. They also played games right outside our own tent. It felt as though they were trying to get us to leave so they could have the space for themselves. We therefore packed our tent and moved it to the furthest away field for the final night of our stay. This was quieter, but not a flat pitch. We concluded that this site might be good if you are a larger group and want to play music etc. but not so good if you are looking for a quiet holiday, particularly with young children who need to get to sleep early. Perhaps it is quieter outside of the school holidays. We certainly wouldn't go back during holiday time. If you do want a quiet pitch, I would recommend you go to the furthest corner of the furthest camping field. This means you will be further away from the facilities, but less likely to be bothered by music etc.
