喜欢 This was our first time tent camping - we usually go in our campervan. Our pitch was generally very flat and very generously sized. The facilities were clean and had everything we needed. The owner, Tom, was friendly and helpful, excellent communication about our booking including directions, etc. The views are stunning from the site and if it hadn't been a cloudy night, we might have had a beautiful dark sky too. We were really pleased with the site and will definitely be back sometime (hopefully for more than one night next time).

喜欢 Gary and Marlene were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The place has a really nice vibe about it which makes it easy to relax. The facilities were clean and tidy. The shower was hot and powerful. Free firewood was a nice bonus and Gary even cut some up for us especially. On the whole, a great place run by really decent people. Would recommend.

喜欢 From the moment we arrived we absolutely loved this site and its surroundings. On arrival the staff were really helpful and friendly, guiding us to our pitch and explaining where everything was. The toilets and showers were kept clean and although they were coin operated, 40 pence was very reasonable. They were hot and the pressure was good too. The laundry facilities were small (one washer and drier, I think) but suited our needs perfectly. The pot wash area behind the loo block was also decent with good pressure and hot water which makes such a difference when washing up in the cold. We had EHU but we didn’t actually use it, nor did we use the free WiFi, but it’s great that both were available to us. Pitches were level and a good size too. Everything about this site was wonderful so I really can’t complain at all. The heritage centre is definitely worth a visit as well, as is the tearoom down the road which welcomed two drenched travellers and our soggy doggy with no bother. There are also some lovely walks for all abilities in the area. The village itself is worth a potter around too.

喜欢 The staff were friendly and helpful and kindly lent us an extension lead for our power supply so we could use the EHU. Our lead is short (15m) so wasn’t quite up to the job. The pitch was a decent size and so we didn’t feel on top of our neighbours. The facilities were decent with nice hot showers and were kept clean. We extended our stay so spent about a week at this site and we were very comfortable for the whole time. Having a pub right on your doorstep is always a good thing too and the Scampi was delicious, so I’d recommend that. Also, a short walk down the trail over the road will take you to another pub (the Royal Oak, I think) which is another lovely spot. The free WiFi was handy too though I think the performance dropped a bit when the site got busier.

喜欢 We absolutely adored this site. The facilities are really well kept and we loved that there were two full “bathrooms” so you can do all you need to in one room in the morning. They were warm, comfortable and clean. Absolutely faultless. The pitches are spacious and we really appreciated it being adults only too. The village is a great place to explore as well and it is so beautifully kept. It’s clear that people take a great deal of pride in their properties in Alstonefield. Also, it’s well worth visiting the local pub for a pint too.

喜欢 The pitch was level and large enough for our needs (a swb camper) and well-serviced with water and EHU. The facilities were generally well-kept too. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Excellent location for walking up Snowdon via the quieter Rangers Path. Though I’d recommend getting the Sherpa bus there rather than the 45 minute walk. If you’re driving, you may find somewhere to park but I didn’t notice anywhere useful for that.

不喜欢 One of the taps in the washing area is a bit aggressive. As they’re all push-taps you can’t control the flow and it just sprays water everywhere but the others seemed fine. The grass next to the pitch seemed a bit shallow before reaching stone so I struggled with getting some of our pins in for the awning but still not a massive issue.

喜欢 We loved everything about this site! Adam was really helpful and gave us a lovely warm welcome. The facilities provided everything we needed. Hot showers and well-kept loos. The grounds of the site itself were a lovely setting and although you’re a stones throw from Pembroke town, it still felt secluded and peaceful. The pitches are spaced out nicely and the cabins looked really good, though we were pitched in our van. There’s also a nice short walk in a small woods on site which was perfect for giving our beagle a morning leg stretch before heading further afield for a proper explore. We recommend Barafundle Bay, Freshwater West and St Govan’s Chapel (stop by the dog-friendly St Govan’s Inn for well-earned refreshment).

喜欢 This was one of the best sites we’ve been to for a relaxing stay. The owner was really friendly and very helpful and the facilities were great (including showers, compost loos, washing up area, honesty shop and mobile charging lockers). The site itself was really tidy and well kept with just a few pitches that are spaced out far enough to give plenty of room and privacy. There were two of us and our dog and we all had a great time here.

喜欢 We came here for the second time in two years and it was easy to remember why. The site is off the beaten track and offers beautiful views all round. The facilities are well managed and provide everything you need including toilets, hot showers, washing up areas as well as a chemical toilet disposal and water points. There’s also an honesty shop where you can pick up any essentials you might have forgotten. The owner is friendly but not at all invasive and the pitches are well-kept and plentiful with a beautiful meadow in the middle of each field. I really cannot fault this site at all. It’s also in a perfect location for exploring and climbing Pen y Fan if that’s your thing.

喜欢 The pitches were well sized around the edges and lots of room still in the centre. The showers and loos were good though we definitely preferred the shower and toilet in one room as opposed to the smaller cubicles. The power point was great, though the socket itself didn’t allow me to plug my laptop in because of the lumpy transformer on the plug. The fridge/freezer was handy too. Great walks in the area. Dog friendly!

不喜欢 In wet weather it’s pretty boggy and there were tyre marks which had churned up the earth and made it very uneven and lumpy. This made setting up our awning virtually impossible (we didn’t try). No elsan point (as far as I could tell).
