喜欢 Lovely views, good location for coastal path and st davids.

不喜欢 Groups of loud youths. Despite the site stating no large groups of youths. There were two large groups of youths shouting until after 12pm. Messaged owner once and got a reply but he must have spoken to them whilst we were out for food about music but they continued being loud until late anyway. The other group shouted behind us until 10pm from the high point on site then came down and continued on site. Someone also had a fire despite No Fires rule and I messaged owner as I was concerned with the dryness of the grass etc but no reply. The site has rules but noone takes rule seriously and the owners don't care enough to enforce them. Facilities are a distance away. There isn't enough showers. There are no clear boundaries on pitches. We felt cramped and like we had no space or privacy. Lack of personal service, noone comes to see you or at any point during your stay. Very over priced at £40 per night for a noisey campsite.

喜欢 Despite this awful customer service, the facilities were decent. The shower was nice and warm.

不喜欢 We arrived and went to the cafe as requested in the confirmation email. A guy gave us a run down of where our pitch/bathroom was located on the map and where to get in. We pulled into the field and there was a tent, a car and a couple on our pitch already, so we called the number on the paperwork he gave us thinking there may have been a mistake. The tent dweller walked off whilst we were calling. The guy on the phone sounded flumuxed but said he would be with us asap. He didn't come but the tent camper arrived back on the field with a female member of staff who came to us but she was being talked over by the tent guy and it seemed they both expected us to share our pitch with him as he was going next day anyway. No hello, welcome to our site or any apologies from her at all, she only seemed interested in the needs of the other tent campers that had pitched in our pitch. She even asked if we would like to move to another pitch even though we booked hardstanding for a reason. It was an awkward position to be put in, but the tent was way too close to us and we wanted peace and privacy so we declined. My partner looked to me during this exchange for guidance and I was clearly annoyed, so my partner confirmed that we had paid for the pitch so we didn't want to share when he already had his own pitch. We then found out that he didn't like his allocated pitch due to uneven ground which is not our fault btw. The tent guy then made a remark about me being moody to the lady staff member whilst walking off and said he'd move but will be sure to leave early and make sure to sound his horn to disturb us as he did. The female staff member did not pull him up on this threat or remind him that he had chosen to pitch his tent on our pitch, knowing it wasn't his. At this point my partner was very annoyed and decided to confront both of them, him about his aggressive comments and to her about how we were being treated as paying customers. The couple ended up moving the tent to the other side of the field, It wasn't even a pitch and was by the communal water tap. Further infuriating us. Again, the owners/staff says nothing. By then we had had enough and chose to ignore it. But sadly in all this, the owners/staff ended up making us feel very unwelcome and to blame for this unpleasant situation due to not taking any responsibility for the unpleasant exchange. No apologies other than the one that my partner practically forced out of her due to the confrontation created by being so annoyed with the attitude of the other camper. When all is said and done, they allowed another customer to dictate where they were staying and wanted us to go along with it. We didn't and so I was classed as moody and it created unnecessary tension. The situation was handled poorly by the owners/staff on what should have been a relaxing break for us. On the second night, it was better as the horrid campers had left but the site is littered with a couple of benches and fire pits which is a free for all. The second night we came back and new campers had taken a fire pit and taken over the table and bench. There's no order to where you pitch and what is on your pitch so you never know what you are coming back to and the owners take no notice at all. The light outside the allocated bathroom did not work and the path is uneven so it's a bit of a hazard. The whole site was a very basic set up, obviously lots of work is still going on which you can see on arrival, it's not worth the money we paid. We booked hard standing and the pitch was slightly hard standing but we still needed levelers, it was just like a grass pitch really with a few small bricks. Not the hard standing we've come to expect from other sites. There was a constant hum of an engine noise all night coming from we don't know where. Hardly a relaxing break. And absolutely not worth £39 a night after being forced to join the green camper club to book the two night stay.

喜欢 A nice and friendly welcome, great views, good pitch size, clean and modern facilities. Nice hot shower, fully adjustable temperature which we liked. A quiet site with good access to what we wanted to see and do in the area.

喜欢 Toilets and showers are warm and clean. Nothing special but ample. Dish washing facilities look fine too.

不喜欢 Site wasn't like description, it is surrounded by main roads and a well lit garage in plain view. It's noisy and isn't like it says on website at all. It's a shame as we were looking forward to a night away somewhere like the website portrays but in reality it was very disappointing. We were cramped next to another camper overlooking a very busy road, nothing like the site promises as feeling like you have the place to yourself, so we left an hour after arriving. We've had quieter and less cramped overnights on pay for car parks. £20 per night no electric in winter is way overpriced for offering.

喜欢 Close to Mullion Cove etc and Chimichangas. Historically interesting.

不喜欢 Where to start. Shower is a portaloo festival toilet turned into a shower. The water runs just under the unit straight to the ground. You can enjoy your shower with residents snails, not a huge bother for us if this was the only issue. The only privacy before getting in shower is being surrounded by a garden fence which is almost falling over and the gap has a shower curtain which just blows open so the folks at the weird caravan/capervan cemetery on site would be able to see you. No hooks or shelves etc... Just a drafty wood fence and box with shower head. Nowhere to pop a towel or shampoo etc whilst your in there... We wouldn't have been able to use it at all without one of us propping door open and passing items over whilst showering, so if your on your own forget it. Also the showers are by the pods which look just as bad and a rotten looking caravan with an overflowing bin. (hello rats) We almost left but decided to just sleep there the two nights booked as we had to ourselves and we had the comfort of our van thankfully. The first morning we woke on site there were cars driving on early morning like 7am to the weird space also on site littered with old caravans and materials etc. Then they started burning something that created black smoke. Not sure what? The toilet we didn't even go in as its just one portaloo right by gates that lead on to the main road. I could go on but only have 4000 characters. It was so bad we actually find it funny now. I will just say... Either be a campsite or a museum, we can see what the owners are doing and good luck to them as the items on site have historic value but the standards are so below par for £14 per night. We payed £17 per night on the previous campsite an hour away near Falmouth and had top notch showers, toilets, laundry and washing up area. We think asking £10 on this site would be pushing it for the quality but for the position to the Lizard coast maybe... Its only redeeming features for us was distance from coast, chimichangas mex food around corner and the fact that we were the only ones on the field.

As stated in our advert, our museum is under development. as for the facilties, the shower is built into a cubicle, but was built from new as a shower and not from an old festival toilet, the toilet is new last year and is a flushing toilet with hand basin not a chemical toilet. We are only a small, seasonal off grid site (10 pitches) so we can't justify building a large shower block, but what we have is reasonable new and is cleaned every day, with the grass being cut at least once a week, unfortunately the snails are a part of being situated in a rural location.
