喜欢 Have stayed several times in the past and the setting is what draws us back time after time. We use the 'pods' as I'm too old to try and negotiate getting in/out of a tent! The site itself is kept spotlessly clean by Ingrid and Dave can be seen looking after the upkeep of the pitches. The site has spacious pitches covering 4 fields with a mixture of camping, caravans, motorhome and pods. As an adults only site it is lovely and tranquil with plenty of walks starting from the site. There is the lake immediately on the edge of the site with walks that can vary from 20 minutes to around 4 hrs plus. Canal walk into Ellesmere too. Our stay this time was for my husbands 70th birthday. I mentioned it to Ingrid in passing and she very kindly dropped off a lovely bottle of wine. Such a lovely, kind personal touch which was greatly appreciated but totally unexpected. Another fantastic stay. We promise not to leave it too long before returning!

喜欢 The site is well kept, lovely and clean, ideally located and we have visited many many times. Credit to Dave and Ingrid who are fantastic hosts.

喜欢 Warm and friendly hosts Dave and Ingrid really go the extra mile to make the site extremely pleasant to stay. The cabins are fantastic with tea/coffee making facilities. Dogs are welcome and with the lake to walk round and close to the canal walk this is a peace Haven for walkers. The site is immaculate with toilet/shower block and a communal area with TV WiFi fridge freezer and gorgeous wooden tables to chat around. Its our 5th visit to this site and we took our friends with us who are eager to revisit. It won't be long before we go back (work permitting). Lovely walks during the day, followed by a bbq sat around a fire pit - what more could you ask for? Another fantastic stay, thanks Dave and Ingrid.

喜欢 The site is wonderful and clean. Great location and pet friendly. We use the pods as they have everything you need for a few days away without the hassle of putting up a tent. The location next to the lake is fantastic for walking the dog. The lake leads on to the canal so walking it is great for walking. The site is always clean and tidy and well laid out and the pitches are of a great size for that bit of privacy for a lazy few days. The toilet and shower block is always clean no matter what time of day or night you use it. There is a communal area with TV, kitchen facilities, beautifully carved wooden tables and sofas for comfort. There is wifi in this area. Booking in is effortless and David and Ingrid will take you to your pitch and provide you with a local map with walks and amenities nearby. Ingrid and David work tirelessly to ensure you have a great stay and nothing is too much trouble. Our TV lost its signal during our stay and within a couple of hours of notifying David, the TV arial engineer had supplied and a new arial erected. Fire pits are available for those who like to sit outside after the sun has set. There are takeaway facilities for those who just want a getaway and do nothing. The site also has a hot tub that can be booked. We haven't used it ourselves but it was used by others every day we were there. If its a quiet, tranquil setting you are after, this is the place to be.

喜欢 Stayed in the Otter Cabin. Lovely location, nice and clean, size bigger than expected. I'm not really a camper but my partner is but I would go back there in a heartbeat. The toilet/shower block was clean no matter what time of day it was, There is a lovely social area with kitchen facilities and TV for if you wanted to socialise. Dave and Ingrid were constantly on the go making sure everything was done. They were a lovely couple and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed during the hottest days and Ingrid offered fans for the night time as it really was warm. The campsite it situated right on the side of the are which was ide for walking the dog. Upon arrival we were given a map showing plenty of walks and local areas. I cannot fault the site at all. Absolutely brilliant.

不喜欢 The only negative thing for me was that there were no WiFi facilities in the hut.and my signal was not strong enough to work with. Dave and Ingrid did let me use their house WiFi as they knew I needed it for work . This is also a positive for those who want to completely escape work!.
