Breathtakingly beautiful, thoughtfully provisioned and immaculately presented. Having camped all over the planet for over five decades. Iona campsite is simply the best.

Absolutely beautiful location, very quiet, lovely layout of campsite so each pitch feels private. Really great facilities which were spotless.

Everything! The campsite was amazing, the hosts were fantastic and friendly and the communal areas were all clean. We had no problems with any of the gates and the area was beautiful.

Peace and quiet. Sound of birdsong and sheep. Kitchen with toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, sinks and phone charging facilities. Spotlessly clean kitchen and bathrooms. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Great views. Flat ground. Owners have clearly invested in the site. Great value for money.

When I was there, some of the campers monopolised the picnic tables near their tents. That's a tiny thing.

One of the bathrooms has adaptations for people with physical disabilities and there is a ramp up to the kitchen and bathrooms but there is a fairly large step at the bottom of the ramp. I suspect that the paths, which are surfaced with the large pebbles which seem to be typical of the island, might be very difficult to navigate for some people with mobility issues.

Absolutely lovely little site, Iona is so tranquil, the campsite is well cared for. Ablution block is perfect, with good access to basic kitchen facilities. Will definitely stay for longer next time.

The campsite has a very good location. Equally from the port and the other beautiful south side of the island. The hostess is amazing, very friendly and she even lent me a sleeping bag as I stupidly decided not to pack because I thought I could handle cold Scottish nights.

Toilets, shower room and common kitchen were all super clean and just what you need in a campsite. The tents spots have a very nice view and I had a lovely quiet sunset there.

I would definitely recommend 10/10.

This is a gorgeous location, and there is lots of room for finding a nice flat pitch. The ground is perfect for easy staking of tents. There are nice shower and toilet facilities with heated towel racks, and a nice little common room with a small fridge, microwave, and kettle. It's clean and well cared for, was very easy to navigate instructions, and the owner was friendly and welcoming.
