In a seafront land in Galicia, far far away from life's little large stresses, there sits a site named Camping Bayona Playa. And as you'll be able to tell from its name, it's right by a beach – has direct access to one, in fact, on a narrow peninsula surrounded by a river estuary on the Galician coast. Bayona Playa is a large and well-maintained site, with a seasonal outdoor pool with waterslides; it's also got a playground, a basketball court and a café-restaurant serving up traditional Galician and Spanish dishes along with views of the nearby Cíes Islands. The loo and shower block is cleaned regularly and is suitable for guests with disabilities. Other amenities include a washing-up area, a launderette with coin-operated washing machines and dryers, and a disposal point for chemical toilet waste. Activities like local excursions, walks, cycling, canoeing, snorkelling, paddleboarding, surfing, windsurfing and sailing are arranged for guests in high season.

Good sized pitches.
Fabulous wifi.
Very clean facilities.
Fabulous beach.
Walking distance to the town.

不喜欢 Pool not open.
Bar not open.
Restaurant not open.
Supermarket not open.
All of the above open mid June but information was not available prior to booking.
Biggest issue was no hot water apart from one day although the manager disputed this and said it was a mere 3hr window that the hot water was off and basically called me a liar despite going to reception at least twice a day during my 6 day stay to ask when would hot water be available to shower. Cold showers were unbearably cold.

喜欢 Good accommodations and facilities for all types of residents. The shower block was kept emasculate with family bathrooms in the women’s block. Spacious pitch. The site is 3/4 of a mile from Oyambro beach along quiet roads. The meals served at the site restaurant were delicious.

喜欢 Pitch over looking river, spent a lot of the day watching birds and wildlife. Very peaceful. Beach on other side of peninsula, was bloody stunning. Restaurant food was great, fast and reasonably priced. Plenty of clean toilets and showers. Alight boo boo with my pitch at check in, both ladies sorted and very friendly 😁 missed close of restaurant but opposite one of toilet blocks is a pizza shack... It was pricey but well worth it. WiFi seemed great everywhere.

不喜欢 Parcelas con suelo malísimo que como suele hacer mucho aire se llena todo de polvo y es horrible e incómodo ya que no se puede disfrutar mucho el exterior y teníamos que tener toda la caravana cerrada y aun así está todo lleno de arena, muy saturado, piscina a la vista a la entrada nada discreta,

The medieval coastal town of Baiona is four kilometres or about a ten-minute drive from Camping Bayona Playa and is a popular place for Spaniards who come to these cooler climes during the Galician summers. It has six beaches as well as an Old Town sitting behind its seafront; go Old Town-wards for cheaper bars and restaurants than on the main beachfront part. The city of Vigo, the most populous in Galicia, is about half an hour's drive from the site, very near the Portuguese border. Head here for the day for four beaches, a historic and a modern city centre, and several museums, including its highly regarded Museum of Contemporary Art and the Galician Center of Photography. Less than an hour away is Pontevedra, the city with medieval port, Zona Monumental old centre and scenic strolls around its parks, promenade and squares.
