Over 160 kilometres of trail to tramp or pedal are accessible from the Valencian Community's Camping Altomira, as it's slap bang next to the Ojos Negros Greenway, the longest green route in Spain. Prefer a beach or a city? The Spanish sea is 35 kilometres away and the city of Valencia within 40 minutes. No to any of these but sí to wildlife watching and scenic landscapes? Altomira is also between the Sierra Espadán and Sierra Calderona natural parks. All is comfy and well sorted on site, with a pool, wifi throughout, a playground and a TV room, alongside a launderette, a drying room and toilet and shower blocks with disabled facilities. Meals are served at the Altomira restaurant, or pick up some produce at the shop to have at the barbecue areas.

喜欢: Servicio de recogida de basura diario o casi diario, piscina limpia, baños limpios y con papel, supermercado en el propio camping y servicio de panadería. Paelleros disponibles. Cercanía al pueblo. En general muy bien.

不喜欢: - No hay lona de techo para sombra en la parcela, nos asamos de calor de 12 a 17h e imposible hacer siesta. - No salía agua caliente de las duchas. Esto fué bastante duro ya que rascaba frío. - La parcela solo tiene una toma de luz que ya se gasta con el enchufe de la nevera (pudimos avisar a tiempo a unos amigos para que trajeran un ladrón y poder cargar los móviles). - Parcela de gravilla que no dejaba clavar las piquetas de la tienda. En caso de viento hubiera sido un problema.

喜欢: Lo que menos me gustó es que el camping se cerrase completamente a partir de las 00:00 horas y no pudieras volver a entrar hasta las 08:00h habiendo eventos en los pueblos aledaños ya que alertan fiestas.

不喜欢: La recepcionista desagradable, únicamente atendía con algo más de educación a turistas ingleses.

来自经理: Gracias por su comentario. Lamentamos que la experiencia en nuestro camping no haya sido positiva. El camping se cierra a las 00h, pero es posible entrar más tarde de esa hora por otro acceso, que es el parking del restaurante. Por otro lado, le pedimos disculpas si la recepción no le resultó agradable; nuestra filosofía es tratar bien a todos nuestros clientes, independientemente de su nacionalidad. Lamentamos si en este caso no fue así. Un saludo.

喜欢: Peaceful rural terraced site with views to the mountains.. The staff were so helpful. The reception staff spoke very good English. The food in the restaurant was well above average.

不喜欢: Our fault in the fact one of the motor movers on our twin axle very heavy caravan did not work. Difficult pitches with short walls either side. The maintenance men cheerfully man-handled the caravan on and off pitch.

Hire a bike from the Camping Altomira team to see how much of the 160-kilometre stretch of the Ojos Negros Greenway you can manage; it goes past 20 tunnels, over 21 bridges, along reservoirs and through many a varied landscape including foothills, rivers and the Mediterranean forest of Javalambre. If all this is a bit too much of a stretch, pedal or stroll to the lake a couple of kilometres from the site. Also have a wander to El Salto de la Novia, the 60-metre waterfall known as the Bride's Jump, and around its neighbouring village of Navajas, with many mineral water fountains and an eleventh century Moorish tower. The cathedral and Valencian Gothic art of the Diocesan Museum of Segorbe are five kilometres from here. Other options around the area, Castellón and the Valencia province are the nature parks of the Sierra Espadán and Sierra Calderona; many old villages with Moorish architecture; the beaches of Chilches and the Columbretes Islands.
