True to form, the Costa del Azahar – or, to use its name en inglés, the Orange Blossom Coast – is packed with splendid citrus trees that stretch all the way down this eastern part of Castellón. Looking for a well-maintained spot to settle down in while exploring these parts? Then you'll want to get yourself to a site named after another lush local export, that site being Los Olivos Camping Park. There's an awful lot to like here: quiet surroundings, a seasonal outdoor pool, pétanque and a gym where you can work off any extra ice cream calories out in the fresh air. You can also hire bikes on site, meaning you can stash your car/motorhome keys somewhere safe and forget about them for the rest of your stay… In terms of practicalities, there's a laundry room, wifi access and a dog-walking area where travelling pets can give their paws a good stretch. A small shop on site stocks a few everyday essentials, but the shops, bars and cafés of Alcalà de Xivert are an easy one-kilometre walk away if you’re in need of more. The town's main church has a particularly impressive tower that can be seen for miles around (including from certain spots on site), plus a castle with roots going back to the Knights Templar and Moorish conquest.

喜欢: Very very big pitches even the small ones. .quiet location, perfect if you want rest for e.g. after hiking or biking. Some restaurants snd a consum in town. Pool is great, bar is fine and very friendly staff. Very clean sanitary and hot hot water which doesnt go off every 10 seconds (manual)

不喜欢: Few barking dogs in the campo, which is normal for spain.

喜欢: Camping muy tranquilo, baños limpios, vigilancia exhaustiva, restaurante bueno, tienda para comprar cosas bastante completa, piscina grande, en general un ambiente muy agradable.

不喜欢: Lo único que no me gusto, es que me pareció muy cara la cuota de la luz por día 7€, porque nosotros, solamente cargamos el movil, y nos pedían 1€ por carga.

不喜欢: Horario del bar, además de no disponer casi de nada, no había casi nadie nunca. No tiene ni un pequeño supermercado. Yo tenía la parcela cerquita de los baños pero la verdad esq hay muy pocos para las parcelas que hay

喜欢: This park has the opportunity to be a 5 star campsite but the lack of staff/lazy staff let it down. The pitches are large, reception staff lovely, swimming pool, good showers and toilets. Beautiful old Spanish town in walking distance with quaint bars/shops etc.

不喜欢: The restaurant was closed for two of the three day booking. We were told on arrival we could eat there so didn’t venture out to the shop, then we were stuck without anything as it was Sunday evening and all of the shops were closed in the area. The restaurant area and outside area were never cleaned at all during our stay. Tables still had bottles and glasses on since we arrived. Very disappointing. It looked like a deserted ship. The staff member was terrible at serving drinks so we only had one and then left after sitting at extremely dirty tables outside. I never saw one staff member on site at all in the three days and rubbish that had been left on pitches was still hanging around. Dogs barking from nearby properties in the early hours. However, we have experienced this on every camp site we have visited. WiFi you have to pay for. The 2 hours free lasts 5 minutes.

喜欢: Nos encantó , es muy tranquilo para ir con familia , tiene una piscina con hamacas para relajarse , hay un bar y el camarero es súper majo , se acercaba a la piscina haber que necesitamos. Lo recomiendo para la familia , un lugar tranquilo y desconectar.

喜欢: La amabilidad de los asistentes y trabajadores.Limpieza de baños y duchas ,zona de lavaplatos y lavanderia,,,agua caliente un 10 en duchas y lavaplatos ,,personal muy amable, en general muy bien ..el lugar muy acogedor pese a ser un campingde 3 ⭐, muy ordenado y limpio ,,lo cual no te quita la posibilidad de estar en plena naturaleza ,viaje con mis nietos ,,un pequeño de 6 y una adolescente de 15 y debo decir que estuvieron muy agusto ,el ambiente familiar ( sin ser agobiante) muchas actividades para los niños ,gimnasio exterior y interior genial ,,,zona de juegos para niños muy bien mucha variedad de árboles en la zona de de juegos infantil y de gimnasio,,, me gusto mucho y no descarto otras posibilidades de estancia .Muchas gracias a todos .

不喜欢: Quiza habria que reforzar la pequeña tienda ,y dar mas vida al restaurante ,quizas los huespedes harian uso mas a menudo ,de todas formas estuve 3 dias .tampoco puedo sacar conclusiones muy subjetivas

If you've come to this coastal part of Spain, chances are you'll want to spend at least some of your time splayed out on a sumptuous stretch of sand. Alcossebre (15 minutes' drive) has an ace beach for just that, as well as coastal boardwalks, seafood bars, mountain views and plenty of ice cream spots. Peníscola (20 minutes) receives similar acclaim from holidaymakers, who flock here to swim while admiring vistas over its seaside citadel. Away from the coast, entertainment options include Papagayo Garden (15 minutes), an animal park with plenty of parrots, Panoramica Golf (35 minutes), an aptly-named sport spot with spectacular scenery, and Villafamés Contemporary Art Museum (35 minutes), a small but curious collection of modern pieces in a traditional hilltop village. Benicàssim (30 minutes), meanwhile, is a lively coastal town that plays host to a huge Spanish music festival every summer. Families will also find things to do around here, including the Aquarama water park and Plaça del Trenet, where the kids can whizz about on miniature locomotives. If you want to explore further afield, get set to drive to Tarragona (an hour and 20 minutes), where there's an impressive Roman amphitheatre and aqueduct.
