What a whale of a time will be had at Camping Moby Dick near Catalonia's Girona. For it's in a lovely locale across from the Spanish seafront, and only 100 metres or so from a scenic and sandy Spanish beach in the quiet coastal town of Calella de Palafrugell: if you yearn for the Costa Brava without heaving crowds, this should be a serene spot for you. Camping Moby Dick is small, rural and family run, welcoming families, solo wanderers and groups of friends, and with a peaceful vibe for chilled Costa Brava days. Pitches are on terraces on a small hill shaded by mature oak and pine trees, and some have sea views. The site is all set up to have most of what you'll need to stay put for quiet days, with a bar-restaurant, a TV room, a playground, a ping pong table, and a grocery shop selling fresh bread and fruit. The modern amenities include toilet blocks, showers and a laundry room.

喜欢: Un camping muy bonito y en el pueblo.Las parcelas están bien,tienen diferentes zonas e incluso desde algunas se ve el mar. Instalaciones siempre limpias , limpiaban los baños varias veces al día. La comida del restaurante muy rica. Estuvimos dos noches muy a gusto y volveremos seguro

喜欢: No me gusto nada no hay vigilancia y se entra como pedro por su casa y la parcela estaba desnivelada no tenía super tenían que salir fuera ya no vuelvo más a este camping

喜欢: Very close to the beach and restaurants. Lovely neighbours. If it wasn’t for them we would really have struggled to find the pitch in the dark. The restaurant bar staff were very helpful

不喜欢: Difficult to navigate the campsite, poorly signposted. Route and pitches as it situated on hill side terraces. No help from staff finding the pitch in the dark.

喜欢: De fijne uitstraling van de camping, vriendelijk, toegankelijk en dicht bij het strand.

不喜欢: Niet blij is overdreven maar het zou prettig zijn als er warm water is bij het was/afwas gedeelte.

喜欢: Stunning area , sea and town were beautiful and really close to walk to . Nice restaurant at entrance .

不喜欢: Was pitched at top of site . Really long walk and pitches ok for small vans not motorhomes , struggled to get level and van infested with ants , still trying to get rid of them 7 days later . They were everywhere . Showers were like a step back in time . They were warm but like a concrete tomb . Like a prison shower in a 3rd world country

The eight (!) award-winning beaches of Calella de Palafrugell around Camping Moby Dick should keep sand and serenity seekers content for some time, but if you want to up the watery ante at any point, you can join the diving school at Port Pelegri beach, hire kayaks at Canadell beach, or take a sailing excursion from the beach of Port Bo – or do the whole heap in between sandy days on beach towels (recommended). Two walking trails to take you round the area are within easy reach of the site, one from Sant Roc to Golfet beach, and another from the centre of Calella de Palafrugell to the village of Llafranc. For cycling, access the local Via Verde, connecting Saita Margarita to the village of Palamós, a tiptop stop in itself for its swimming, sailing and windsurfing bay. Garden fans will go gaga at the nearby and famed botanical gardens of Cap Roig, spreading down terraces from the castle of the Cap Roig estate to the sea and lauded as one of the very best gardens on the whole of the Med. Spanish and international artists exhibit their works at the gardens during the summer months.
