Surrounded by lush Mediterranean forest and just 10 minutes’ walk from the long, golden-sand beach of Platja de S’Abanell, Kampaoh Blanes is a heady mix of glamping, seaside relaxation and outdoor activity. And what’s more, it’s only five minutes’ drive from Blanes – gateway to the Costa Brava and one the most popular seaside resorts in Catalonia. Along with pre-erected bell tents that have more than a touch of luxury about them (spacious layouts with proper beds, bags of storage and hanging space), facilities at this at tip-top site are spotless and modern, yet nicely relaxed to strike the right note for family leisure time. In addition, the campsite has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool complex, with a couple of waterslides and a splash park for kids, as well as sports facilities and a play area. You can stock up on provisions for family meals in the supermarket, get fresh bread daily from the bakery or dine alfresco overlooking the swimming pools at the licensed restaurant. In case you need anything else to keep the kids busy, there’s watersports down on Platja de S’Abanell, as well as a bunch of tapas bars, restaurants and takeaways lining the waterfront.

You’ll certainly never have a dull moment when staying at Kampaoh Blanes; the kids can race down waterslides at Marineland Catalunya (10 minutes’ drive) and Water World Parc (25 minutes), get happily soaking wet scrambling about on the floating Parcs Aquàtics Malgrat de Mar (15 minutes) or give jet skiing a go on Platja de S’Abanell beach (10 minutes’ walk). The spectacular Jardí Botànic Marimurtra (10 minutes) is planted with cacti and other exotic plants; it has stunning views from its waterfront promenade looking over the Mediterranean Sea. Heritage aficionados can visit Castell de Sant Joan (25 minutes), a medieval fortress with a landmark watchtower looming over the coastline, or combine history with an uphill march to ruined Torre de Montagut (90 minutes’ walk) for more views over the coastline. When it’s time for some adults-only downtime or a late-night treat for older kids, lively and lovely Blanes (five minutes’ drive) has a buzzy after-dark scene with numerous waterfront seafood restaurants and traditional tapas bars as well as late-opening shops to browse.

喜欢: The tent was really well set up with nice little touches to make the stay more comfortable. The member of staff that did check in was very polite during check in. When we had a problem with the electrics, he was there immediately and solved the issue.
Communication was clear - several key pieces of information were sent before arrival, making whole process simple and fast.
