Time for a trip to the seaside? Set on the spectacular Costa del Maresme, Camping Bell Sol is right next to the sea in Pineda de Mar, a town with a three-kilometre-long sandy beach. The site also has plenty in the way of family entertainment – even outside of peak season, there is a playground, ping pong tables and a football pitch, and during July and August, there's a packed activity programme of family activities, live entertainment and outdoor games. From May to September (subject to weather conditions), the site opens up an outdoor pool with summer aqua gym classes too. As evening falls, head to the site bar for a boozy beverage or two. Just off site (a few minutes' walk away), you could also go for a sandy stroll along the town's beach. The site restaurant is closed on weekday evenings, but Pineda de Mar has an excellent selection of restaurants, tapas bars and family-run seafood restaurants serving up reasonably priced local dishes. The nightlife is laidback here too; if you're after a more upbeat night out, just nip over to the neighbouring resort of Lloret de Mar. In high season, the site's foodie facilities have things pretty well covered as well: pick up your morning bread from the bakery to fuel up ahead of a coffee at the café, or choose to be waited on at the light and airy restaurant. Facilities on site also include a launderette and heated bathrooms with showers, soap and shampoo, hairdryers and hand dryers.

不喜欢 No grey waste drainage or toilet No local fresh water taps to pitches so back and forth with buckets and containers. Looks like they had a service point but now not operational.

喜欢 The campsite is in a good location for the beach and the Ironman start line if that is the reason you are visiting Calella. The campsite is also only about 15 minutes walk from the main shopping street in Calella.

There were a number of good local bars and restaurants within a short walk of the campsite.

The team were professional on check in and check out.

The facilities are kept very clean with the cleaning, maintenance and gardening team often present to keep the campsite tidy and functional.

There was a very large storm on out 3rd night at the campsite and the team must be commended because they were straight onto tidy up duties the next morning. We also had one nights accommodation deducted from our bill due to the storm which we felt was a nice gesture.

不喜欢 We could not access the Wifi network from our pitch, it only seemed available at the bar/restaurant.

The pitched are very close together with little or no privacy between pitched. I guess this is not unreasonable for a town based campsite where space is at a premium. In fairness we did get to know our neighbours quite well ;)

喜欢 Fantastic site, brilliant pool and great, friendly staff make this a site not to be missed, the pool is what all sites should have,we always stay here on our way to France, across the road from the beach, we love the place.

The showers dribbled out, impossible to wash long or thick hair
The noise from others in this campsite was unreal, with no quiet time enforced. People playing music, shouting, washing up etc well past midnight.
There was also loud music from the campsite next door and (admittedly, not the fault of the campsite) loud music from a town festival that went on until 3.30 in the morning. So avoid this weekend if you want a quiet one.
We changed pitches but it didn't make much difference

Vriendelijk personeel. Douches en toiletten worden meermaals per dag proper gemaakt.
Prima beveiliging door de nachtbewaking.
Ligging tussen pineda en callela. Te voet ongeveer 15 min.

Camping Bell Sol is well placed for beach and city days out, as well as the occasional jaunt up into the mountains. The main beach of Pineda de Mar, accessed via an underpass opposite the site entrance, is a gorgeous stretch of golden sand, which even in the height of summer doesn’t get too overcrowded. From here, scuba divers can take a trip out to the Medes Islands, a protected maritime area where the scuba diving is rumoured to be rather outstanding. The seaside towns of Malgrat de Mar (15 minutes' drive), Blanes (20 minutes) and Lloret de Mar (25 minutes) are all easy enough to reach by driving north along the coast, and the larger coastal spots of Mataró (25 minutes), Badalona (35 minutes) and Barcelona (40 minutes) are all to the south. Girona is also 45 minutes' drive away. As you're also around an hour's drive from two huge natural parks – Sierra de Marina and Collserola – hiking and mountain biking trails around the area's forests and hillsides are easy to get to from here too.
