A friendly environment, scenic setting and mini farm for the kids are what's on offer at comfy and modern Camping Carlos III in Andalusia, under 30 kilometres from Córdoba and an hour's drive from Seville. It's a kilometre from the town of La Carlota, named after Carlos III (the king, not the site…) and a handy place for shops and restaurants. There are lots of cute creatures to meet at the mini farm, and kids' activities run throughout high season. Also around to keep all out of mischief are a miniature golf course, tennis, pétanque and padel courts, a large fenced playground and a pool and paddling pool (both open from June to September) with a spacious terrace alongside. The bar-restaurant has a café, a lounge and two terraces, one of which overlooks the pool. It serves local food and barbecued meats from a la carte and menus of the day. A mini supermarket is also on site.

喜欢 Good service at reception as we turned up 3 days early and they let us stay there. Great service at the bar (Jenny and Javi especially) and good food at the restaurant. Very clean site with people working around the clock.

喜欢 We used this to break up a journey from Seville to Valencia. The campsite was fine for one night, facilities were clean and we had a good nights sleep.

不喜欢 Not sure we would want to stay here for longer periods of time due to location and general feeling of campsite being abit dated and more suited to the long standing static holiday homes.

喜欢 Friendly lady at the reception.
Enough space! ( only four other campers where brave enough to stay.
We left after one night in the noice.
The local Industry uses labour from north Africa and these persons have found a place to stay in the surrounding holiday houses around the camper pitches

不喜欢 The traffic noise from the nearby highway.
The restaurant does not have heating and the outside temperature below five degrees C.
The food was unbelievable
The Arab music was played from television at full blast.

喜欢 This campsite offers clean facilities, friendly and welcoming staff, and generously sized pitches. The warm, powerful showers are good. It’s wonderfully peaceful during weekdays when local residents and children are out, at work or school.

不喜欢 The campsite has local residents living in permanent lodges and caravans. Unfortunately, our stay was disrupted by residents banging on drums all Sunday, continuing into the evening.

Take the camera around town to the Real Posada y Fonda, the Casas de Colonos or settlers' homes, the Government's Subdelegate Palace and the Church of Purísima Concepción, and then to the market square at Plaza del Mercado de Abastos to try the local dishes. Córdoba, 28 kilometres from Camping Carlos III, should be a definite destination for its ancient sites; it was once a Roman base, then is thought to have been the most populous city in the world around the eighth century under its Moorish rule.
