Camping La Rana Verde

Take the bus from the stop 200 metres from Camping La Rana Verde for the 23-kilometre journey to Cádiz, one of the oldest cities in the world. Among the sights to see (you'll need at least a few days) are the Torre Tavira (one of over 100 watchtowers in the city), Cádiz Cathedral, the Parador Atlantico and the Castillo San Sebastian. A largely intact Roman theatre was discovered in 1980 in the El Pópulo district. From Cádiz, or straight from Chiclana de la Frontera 37 kilometres away, another couple of days must be had in Jerez de la Frontera, the famed Andalusian home of sherry production, flamenco dancing and, since 1987, the motorcycle Grand Prix (Jerez was named as the world's first Motorbike Capital, in 2014). The city's also famed for its Carthusian horses, and the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art. Staying around the site, you could have hikes around the marshes, beaches and coastline of the Cádiz Bay Natural Park; try watersports including paddleboarding, kitesurfing, surfing, snorkelling and wakeboarding at the nearby beaches; play golf within six kilometres, or wander around the markets, Chiclana Museum and other sights of Chiclana de la Frontera.
