320 days per year – that's how much sunshine Almeria's lucky residents can expect. That figure tempting you to join them for a spell? Then head to this sunkissed site near Sorbas for poolside siestas, mountain views and day trips to the Med.  Savannah Park Resort's well-kept surrounds are pretty sure to get you in the holiday mood: here, guests can wander among palm trees, admire vistas of the Sierra Nevada, relax by the pool or head to the on-site bar for an ice-cool drink or two (no savannah would be complete without an oasis, after all). A picnic area is also on hand for meals and snacks in the open air.  The nearby historic town of Sorbas is an easy 10-minute drive away: head here for tapas bars, a well-stocked supermarket and the popular Thursday market. This mountainous terrain is also home to some spectacular caves and karst formations – a refreshing break from all that sunshine. Back on site, practical perks like a washing-up zone and wifi connection help make stays here that little more convenient. Fancy bringing your dog along? Savannah Park Resort's pet-friendly policies take care of visiting hounds' accommodation needs, too.

Nearby Sorbas (10 minutes' drive) is typical of the region – think rugged clifftops, white houses, 17th-century churches and plenty of places to buy cured meats and handmade souvenirs. The Sorbas caves are just outside town (10 minutes), along with a museum that makes it a doddle to understand the area's complex geology. For top hikes in the local area, slap on some suncream and make tracks for Río Aguas valley (30 minutes).  Visiting thrill-seekers, meanwhile, should take a look at the local racetrack (15 minutes): head here to watch high-speed supercars zooming past on race days or to have a go yourself. If you'd rather head back to the low-tech past, check out a nearby movie set for a taste of the Old West (30 minutes): oodles of famous flicks were shot here, including Indiana Jones and Clint Eastwood films.  When in southern Spain, a trip to the Med is pretty much a must. Cool off in the sea at sandy Mojácar beach (40 minutes) or head into the city of Almería (about an hour) for picture-perfect urban playas.

喜欢: La qualité des grands emplacements avec tous branchements .la beauté du site .Le calme avec des centaines d'oiseaux un regal

不喜欢: Le site étant assez éloigné de la ville ...il serait souhaitable d'avoir une machine à laver qui lave au dessus de 30 degrés par rapport à celle qui est offerte en dépannage ainsi qun sèche linge Il est interdit de faire sécher le linge sur des cordes donc on ne peux pas étendre des draps et beaucoup de linge malgré qun petit etendage soit prête. Il est dommage que l'espace bar soit fermé il a fait mauvais temps donc aucun espace pour s'abriter dehors d'autant que le WiFi est près du bar

喜欢: Good clean facilities, large serviced pitches.

不喜欢: Apparently originaly opened as a Static only site but now looks to be going tourers. Being in business we should grasp that everyone that comes through the door wishes to give you money. Though " out of season " and very poor weather conditions no offer was made to open bar or communal area for people to get together. The telecoms signal is very poor and the site " wifi "? was only usable near the bar area ( locked outside,cold and raining ? not good ). Tourers do require laundry facilities.

喜欢: If you want a get away from it all place, then this is it. 6km from Sorbas so if you don’t have transport then a good walk for groceries. The olive groves around the site are great for walking, everyday I walked my two terriers a good 5kms at sunrise and saw magnificent wildlife. Due to being Feb the pool area was closed, but looks lovely. Our pitch was at the end of a row so had uninterrupted views to the olive groves, almond groves and hills, some spectacular sunsets, especially enjoyed with a glass of cava. Mags and Kevin were excellent hosts, and my best recommendation would be returning to stay at this site.
