It should be pretty easy to unwind at TAIGA Almería Playa, a family-friendly site in Palomares village in the Andalusian province of Almeria. How come? The family-friendly site is a mere 200 metres' amble away from the nearest beach, Playa de Quitapellejos, and it also has an on-site restaurant and a play area for the kids. As it's set between the mountains and the sea, there’s plenty near the site to keep rugged adventurers and laidback beach buffs happy. On site, book a wide range of activities in the local area, including wakeboarding at Lunar Cable Park, powered paragliding flights, go-karting and horse riding, or hire bicycles and off-road buggies. As mentioned, the closest beach is also only 200 metres from the site; more are five minutes’ drive away at Playas de Vera (complete with a naturist beach for those who dare to bare), and there are a full 17 kilometres of fab sandy stretches at Mojácar, 20 minutes' drive away. The spectacularly craggy Sierra Cabrera range is a little under an hour away for mountain fans, so pile into the car and head this way for precipitous drives, hikes and mountain biking trails. After your hillside treks and beachy days, head back to home base for a cooling dip in the pool (open during high season only), which has a garden with sunloungers. Once you feel like you’ve earned yourself some dinner (all this soaking up the sun is hungry work), wander restaurantwards for grub or venture into the outside world to try local cuisine at the nearby eateries.

喜欢 Nice pool and restaurant although a little pricey.Lovely staff at the restaurant.

不喜欢 Booked and played for an electric pitch through pitch up only to be informed on arrival an extra 5 euro charge was due for the electric.
Basic showers with no hot water in both male and female showers.Filled in the online booking in facility to save time on arrival only to have to wait in a queue(so don't bother).

Within easy walking of Palamaros & Villaricos.
Clean & tidy.
Many pitches with good shade.
Decent size, level pitches.
Washrooms clean.

Easy check in and out process, online and at resort
Swimming pool looked good but we didn’t use it as too cool for us

喜欢 Der Platz war ok, es war nicht so überfüllt. Es gab einen Ausgang mit Tür und Code, wo man in 5 Minuten zum Strand kam, der ebenfalls sehr weitläufig und schön war.

不喜欢 Die Straße war manchmal zu hören, uns störte es aber nicht.

If you love a good Sunday afternoon Spaghetti Western, a jaunt into the Tabernas Desert is an absolute must. The desert was the setting for many a Wild West showdown in the Hollywood heyday of dusty shoot-em-ups, and the Western towns of Fort Bravo, Oasys and Western Leone, built specifically for the movies and all about an hour away, are now theme parks. Those more comfortable in the big wide open should make tracks for one of the nearby Natural Parks: Cabo de Gata-Nijar, an hour and 15 minutes from the site, is a top destination for anyone who wants to dive below the waves, while Sierra de María-Los Velez (an hour) has plenty to entice twitchers and history buffs (find your way to Cueva de los Letreros for millennia-old cave paintings). For an urban experience, make the hour-long drive to Almeria to poke around museums (the Museo Refugio de la Guerra Civil and Casa del Cine come highly recommended), to wander the scenic streets and burn a hole in that credit card. Kids not up for traipsing around the city? Opt instead for a stop at AquaVera waterpark or an evening’s adrenaline rush at the go-karting circuit in Garrucha.
