Is northern Slovenia one of the most underrated destinations in Europe? Decide for yourself at Green Park Camping in the lush Upper Carniola region of the country… this site has views of the mountains all around, so you can sit back on a deckchair in a serene setting when you’re not checking out the town and lake of Bled just a 15-minute drive up the road. It’s a cinch to reach this sought-after spot using the E61 motorway that veers close to the park, which also leads to the Austrian border 45 minutes’ drive in one direction and the capital of the nation, Ljubljana, about 40 minutes away in the other. The road’s separated from Green Park Camping by a river gorge, preserving that peaceful feel... Some of Slovenia’s best sightseeing’s close by, including the aforementioned Bled with its scenic church sitting on an island in the middle of the lake. This is a stunning place for a gentle stroll or cycle ride and you can boat across the water for scenes that are just as pristine. A lesser-known lake, Bojinj, is within a 45-minute drive for a dip in quieter surrounds amid the Julian Alps, and the 15th- and 16th-century houses in the old town of Radovljica – which also has a castle and a beekeeping museum – are reachable in 10 minutes. To switch milling about the lovely area for a bit of thrillseeking, rafting, ziplining, canyoning and skydiving are available near the park (ask on site for details).

喜欢: Zařízení kempu, kuchyňka se zásuvkami pro nabíjení telefonu, 2 lednice s mrazákem, dost toalet a sprch, čistota v kempu, možnost grilování.

喜欢: Vieta bija ļoti skaista. Mierīgi un salīdzinoši klusu.

不喜欢: Ļoti neelastīgi saimnieki. Salīdzinoši grūta komunikācija angļu valodā. Neuzklausa jautājumus un negribīgi izskaidro kaut ko tādu, kas nav noteikts iekšējos noteikumos. Uz vairrākkārtīgi uzdotiem jautājumiem, kuriem netika saņemta konkrēta atbilde, runāja salīdzinoši agresīvi. Kavēšanās pēc plkst.22.00 var izvērties situācijā, kad var palikt bez naktsvietas vispār. Ļoti principiāli. Par vairrākkārtēju jautājumu, kur tieši apmesties, draudēja ar policijas izsaukšanu nevis parādīja telts vietu. Tā vietā, lai parādītu rezervēto telts vietu (saprotot, ka pēc 22.00 mašīnu pie telts vietas nedrīkst piebraukt), parādīja vietu pie ieejas.

喜欢: the attitude of the staff is exemplary, clean environment, clean toilet, shower, nice horses, not too crowded. I personally recommend it. I will come back another time, if fate wills it.

喜欢: Der Campingplatz ist eine große Wiese an der freie Platzwahl gilt. Die Bäume sind alle noch eher klein, dh. Beschattung sollte man mitnehmen. Der Platz war gut besucht, der Lärm hielt sich aber in Grenzen. Trotzdem standen alle sehr eng zusammen. Wir waren mit unserem VW Bus unterwegs. Strom gibt es nur begrenzt. Für eine Nacht geht es auch ohne Strom. Neben der Anlage sieht man Pferde und Esel. Für die Kinder gibt es sonst nichts. Für eine Nacht total okay.

不喜欢: Die Toiletteanlagen, Duschen und Plätze zum Abwaschen sind begrenzt. Unsere Dusche war schon leicht beschädigt und das Wasser war manchmal kalt bzw. lauwarm. Die Wege dorthin können auch lange sein je nachdem welchen Platz man erwischt. Hier gibt es noch Potential. Die Straßen zum Platz sind teilweise ein wenig eng.

不喜欢: Der Campingplatz war komplett überbucht. Die Zelte standen dicht an dicht, absolut überfüllt. Zudem war am ersten Waschraum das Warmwasser defekt, sodass für alle Camper nur 2 Duschen mit Warmwasser zur Verfügung standen.

After a trip to Bled continue on towards Soteska Vintgar (25 minutes) for a 1.6-kilometre-long gorge walk beside the jewel green Radovna river. You’ll come to a small waterfall towards the end; for a larger and prettier one travel past Bohinj towards Savica (about an hour away). Alternatively, you can take a jaunt to another gorge, Pokljuka (around 40 minutes by car), which is a little more peaceful than its counterpart closer by. For less strenuous sightseeing, castles are in Kranj and Brdo (20 minutes) as well as Bled and the Old Town of Ljubljana. While you’re in Slovenia’s biggest city you can also picnic in Tivoli Park, sip coffee at cafés on the Ljubljanica River and check out the historic displays in the National Museum of Slovenia.
