Vakantiepark De Schotsman is a handy location for adventures across the Zeeland region. Follow the N57 road to explore flat polder islands (15 minutes’ drive), stop off for seafood lunches at Oostkapelle beach bars (20 minutes), or stroll the dunes in Kop van Schouwen nature reserve (20 minutes). Keep the kids happy at Deltapark Neeltje Jans (15 minutes) with a waterpark and swim sessions with sharks for the more intrepid. Other safe bets to keep them smiling are Berkenhof Tropical Zoo (35 minutes) for encounters with creepy crawlies and poisonous frogs, and Mini Mundi (25 minutes), an old-world amusement park with rides for younger age groups.
