Recreatiecentrum Heumens Bos

Cycling and cantering are two of the main activities around Recreatiecentrum Heumens Bos, at the biking trails around its local woodland and at the riding stables 200 metres away, where private lessons and group tuition are both available. Nearby Nijmegen on the Waal river is the oldest town in the Netherlands, celebrating a whopping 2,000 years back in 2005. Several decent museums are among its many sights: have a look at the Africa Museum on the continent's art and culture, the Valkhof museum detailing the city's Roman past as well as its medieval history and modern art, and the House of the History of Nijmegen, a free museum telling the tale of the town.
