Whether you’re the type to appreciate some good food, views, artistic cities or historic sites (or indeed all of the above), assemble for Agriturismo Il Melograno. What a spot – the Verona province site is a 20-minute drive from Lake Garda, half an hour from Verona and 35 minutes from Mantua, but the list continues…watersports, lakefront walks, boat trips, artistic cities, historic sites and pretty villages with popular wines and ancient mills are all easily accessible from here. Exploring will be a treat, then. But so are the site’s facilities… the farmhouse area has been designed for families and includes a swimming pool, a playground, a football and basketball pitch and a climbing dome. And what of the scenery? Well, this is a quiet place, surrounded by plenty of greenery. Relaxing is very much encouraged from sunrise to sunset but also in the middle of the day, as there are lots of trees in the grove to give out shade. This is not an indifferent food and wine area either, oh not at all. Try the light Bardolino wine accompanied by lake fish or a stronger wine like Amarone. Popular tortellini can be tried in Valeggio sul Mincio too, which is only 10 minutes’ drive away from the site.

喜欢 Det mesta! Fantastiskt mysigt, fräscht och gott om underhållning för vuxna och barn. Stora fina platser med el och cityvatten.

不喜欢 Kunde haft fler toaletter. Inte superenkelt att ta sig till med 8 meter husvagn, men det löser sig det också. Problemet va vägarna. Platserna på stället är väldigt generösa.

Very high standards in cleanness & maintenance!
Top nosh washing facilities, even down to the area where you wash your dishes
Top of the range Milie washing machines for your clothes washing
Freshwater fill up at every electric hook-up.
All pitches are meticulously looked after & all level
Restaurant on site also selling local wine
Very friendly family-run site
Local golf clubs
The site & facilities are a credit to the beautiful friendly owner!

喜欢 Everything … great little site. Large pitches , limited numbers on site so very quiet. Super clean facilities and lots of lovely hot water. Wonderful hosts ( human and canine ) and we purchased a few home made goodies for our travels. Occasional planes definitely do not disturb , none at night. Great wi fi. Pool looked lovely but did not venture in !!!

喜欢 Großer Stellplatz mit Pool und vielen Spielmöglichkeiten für Kinder. Duschen, Toiletten und Spülmöglichkeiten sehr sauber. Giulia, die sich um den Stellplatz kümmert, ist sehr nett und beseitigt Probleme sofort.

不喜欢 Bei unserem Aufenthalt gab es dort sehr viele Fliegen.
Da die Einflugschneise des Flughafens (Verona) über den Stellplatz geht und die Straße dahinter auch gut befahren ist, fanden wir es etwas laut.

Cities first: Verona (half an hour’s drive) is likely to be a name you know. Pegged as ‘little Rome’ and famed as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, the Roman city has lots going for it, and most of all, its medieval old town and amphitheatre. Mantua (35 minutes), surrounded by lakes and filled with popular architecture like the Chamber of the Giants, is another city for your bucket list. Trento (an hour and 10 minutes), with its castle, cathedral, Renaissance buildings and museum, is just as splendid. Villages next: just because they are small doesn’t mean they’re not mighty interesting. Valeggio sul Mincio (10 minutes) has a hilltop castle and Borghetto (15 minutes) has ancient mills. If you’re after a peaceful style of afternoon, the large park, lawns, ponds, lakes, maze and 400-year-old oak tree at Parco Giardino Sigurtà (20 minutes) will be a very fine idea. For a thrill, though, Gardaland Resort (20 minutes) has plenty of those in the form of rollercoasters and rides.
