Camping Village Kamemi

Camping Village Kamemi is a little bit away from the island’s main tourist resorts, but it certainly doesn’t lack things to do nearby. You may like to start with a stroll around Ribera (10 minutes’ drive), known as ‘the city of oranges’ and a great place to find good local food. Other towns along the coast include Sciacca (25 minutes), known for its wine and olive oil, and Agrigento (40 minutes), an arty city close to the UNESCO-listed Valley of the Temples archaeological site. For more history, check out the atmospheric ruins of Poggiodiana Castle (15 minutes) and the ancient Greek ruins at Selinunte Archaeological Park (45 minutes) or stay local to see the Anguilla Necropolis (10 minutes). Time for the beach? This stretch of coast has plenty, with clear seas and activities like windsurfing and banana boats. Piana Grande (five minutes) and Borgo Bonsignore (10 minutes), within a nature reserve, are two lovely local picks.
