City sightseers, serenity seekers and countryside connoisseurs will be tickled pink with the location of Italy's Happy Village… its setting in the Lazio hills is a simple 15 kilometres north of central Rome, in a remote and green location but with easy access to the capital. Your road to Rome can be travelled by hailing the shuttle bus from the site to Prima Porta metro station, where you can catch a service to the city centre. For a less hectic day, ride half an hour from the station to the fresh air and clear waters of Lake Bracciano for swimming, hiking or trips on horseback. But. You'll need a fair bit of time on site too, as it's all mighty peaceful and pretty around its centrepiece of gorgeously set pool, among palm trees and lush hedges, and with views of Veio Park. Both the main pool and the cute circular paddling pool have spacious sun terraces – and all are next to the fine site restaurant-pizzeria so you eat alfresco by the water and under the palm trees. Takeaways are available too and there's a well-stocked mini market if you want to sort your own meals.

喜欢 Spokojny kemping, czyste sanitariaty, ciepła woda i nielimitowany czas pod prysznicami. Duży basen, na przyjemną kąpiel po całym dniu w Rzymie. Kamping zapewnia busa do stacji kolejowej, dogodne połączenie do Rzymu. Dobry na dzień, dwa na wypad do zwiedzania Rzymu.

不喜欢 Dość ciasne parcele ok 4,5 x 7 m. Na tych blisko restauracji, słychać wieczorne rozmowy i czuć dym tytoniowy. Brak animacji dla dzieci. Stacja Prima Porta z której odjeżdża pociąg do Rzymu to ciekawa atrakcja sama w sobie. Dzięki niej mieliśmy okazję pokazać naszej córce jak wyglądał dworzec kolejowy i autobusowy w czasach PRL lat 80-90 zeszłego wieku. Pociągi to samo. Polecamy jako ciekawostkę.

喜欢 Nous avions eu un grand emplacement pour notre camping car. La piscine était top. La navette vers le train pour Rome était pratique et super. Le chauffeur était très gentil. Les accès pour vider en remplir le camping car étaient bien agencés.

Rome and Lake Bracciano are the main attractions around this lovely landscape, both with enough to do to keep you busy for yonks. Among the main highlights in Rome are the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City and St Peter's Basilica, but you'll find a vast amount of ancient architecture to see among its old streets, squares and public parks. Art is a huge deal here too, as showcased at the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, the MAXXI museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art, while threads fans have plenty to pick from among the posh clothing boutiques along the Via dei Condotti. You may be keen for a break after all that… so take the bus from Prima Porta metro station to the beaut waters of Bracciano, one of Italy's biggest lakes and now a protected area making up the Bracciano-Martignano Regional Natural Park. Lake activities include canoeing, scuba diving, sailing and swimming; above the water, have a potter around the handsome old town of Bracciano and its medieval castle of Orsini-Odescalchi. Closer to the site, 10 minutes by car will take you to the huge Museo Civico di Zoologia or civic zoo museum with over five million exhibits, next to the Bioparc zoo. Within about 20 minutes' drive, the Santuario Etrusco dell'Apollo archaeological site is a famed Etruscan shrine with tombs and a temple in spectacular setting.
