Off to the beach in Italy? Settle yourself down at Romea Family Camping, to the north of the country near the Po river delta, for direct access to golden sands as well as a nicely rounded array of options to keep you amused on site. There are pine forest walks to ramble around here, as the site is in the famed San Vitale Pinewood that once separated regional capital Ravenna from the clear blue waters of the Adriatic. Or you could (should/must) stick to city sightseeing in between sandy days, at splendid and ancient Ravenna 20 minutes' drive away… or perhaps you may care for a coastal horse riding adventure or a heady theme park day…? This is a lush spot to travel to with pets too, as plentiful walks as well as a dog-friendly beach are close by. There's loads to do on site, with a playground and a busy summer club for the juniors, and a good range of sporty options including basketball, volleyball and pétanque. All ages and tastes should find something suitable among the menu of the restaurant-pizzeria (pizza practically obligatory in Italy, of course), before a trot along to the bar for a tipple and a go on the arcade games, or a catch-up session on the site-wide wifi. Facilities include four amenities blocks with free hot showers, a baby changing room and disabled access. The site also has a grocery shop; a supermarket is 150 metres away for other supplies.

喜欢 Close to the beach - a really nice beach. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pitch had a good size and was nice and level.
Entertainment for the kids was excellent. It was all they talked about some days <3
The facilities were nice and clean, though pretty old.
A lively campsite.

不喜欢 A very lively campsite... A lot of fixed plots that functioned as summerhouses for their owners and guests, so the population explodes on weekends. On fridays, there is rather loud entertainment going on until midnight. On weekends, it is more akin to the Copenhell music festival than a campground...

The site is within easy reach of the Po river delta and is south of the Po Delta Regional Park, a handsomely lush land made up of woods and pine forests, sand dunes and coast, marshes and valleys. Hire a bike from the Romea Family Camping team to investigate further, or get out and about by horseback or boat: the team can point you towards the best spots. Local landmarks are aplenty: recommendations include the Basilica of Sant' Apollinare in Classe (25 minutes' drive), and one of Ravenna's eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites; the famed Benedictine monastery of Pomposa Abbey (40 minutes), and the 16th-century Castle of Mesola (an hour and five minutes), a hunting bolthole built by the Duke of Ferrara. Ravenna has heaps more: do bag at least a few days here if poss. Feeling rather too cultured now? Theme parks are all around too, including Mirabilandia (30 minutes), Italia in Miniatura (an hour) and Aquafan, within an hour and five minutes.
