Take a look at this for a spectacular setting – the views from here are really quite something, surrounded by mountains in all directions and overlooking Lake Barrea four kilometres away. The site itself is also pretty excellent: Camping La Genziana lies 1,100 metres above sea level across two grassy hectares, with terraced pitches surrounded by acacia, maple and beech trees. It’s all set half a kilometre from the village of Barrea, right in the middle of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park, and with smashing views towards the Mount Greco massif from the top of the site. You’ll receive a friendly welcome from well-travelled owner Pasetta, who expertly ensures his guests have everything they need to make the most of this splendid mountain setting: talk to him about the various hikes that lead directly from the site, as well as which villages in the area to visit, and what wildlife to look out for around the locale. This is a simple and well-maintained site that won’t leave you wanting for a thing (except a longer stay) – toilet roll is provided, showers are hot, the sinks are sectioned off to make your daily cleansing routine a little more private, and there’s also a hairdryer to help you blow dry your barnet back into order once you’re done. A washing machine is available for use too for a small fee, and an iron is also on hand to straighten out your garments before donning them on your next adventure.

来自经理: Salve, ho avuto modo di leggere la sua recensione e sono rimasto sorpreso perché da una parte ci loda per la tranquillità del campeggio e poi si lamenta di quello che definisce orario stringente. Sicuramente se c'è tranquillità all'interno della struttura è proprio grazie al regolamento e al fatto che lo facciamo rispettare. D'altronde prima che lei arrivasse qui da noi era stato già avvisato del regolamento e degli orari vigenti. Comunque sia la ringrazio perché mi ha dato modo di ribadire che nel Camping La Genziana c'è un regolamento e che viene fatto rispettare.

喜欢 Sehr schöner Platz. Die Facilities sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber immer top gereinigt. Die Stellplätze sind sehr gepflegt und viele davon haben einen super Blick auf den See. Brötchenservice funktioniert. Es is sehr schön ruhig zum schlafen.

喜欢 Great site above the town with amazing views. The site itself is a family run location and they take care of you well. Proper hot water showers and decent facilities. Great walks from the site but, if you have a dog, take care to chose walks that are open to you. The site is close to a Red protected zone - no dogs allowed - not a suprise, the park has thousands of deer.

喜欢 Friendly site in a great location the views are simply stunning. Situated to the medieval town which is lovely to walk around.

Your walking boots will be put to good use around here: direct from the site are several hiking routes, and the local village of Barrea is a popular departure point for moderately flat and short hikes in the surrounding parkland. You can get up on a horse or get yourself on two wheels to explore the area too, on the mountain biking and horse riding trails for all abilities around Barrea and the wider national park. There are also spectacularly scenic driving and cycling routes around the mountain passes of Gran Sasso d'Italia, Maiella, Sirente and Velino. Lake Barrea, four kilometres from base (the view from the site is so clear you might just think you can dive in from your pitch), is the place to hire pedalos and windsurfing boards for something active, or if you’re feeling a little lazy, umbrellas and comfy sunbeds for lounging days.
