添加您的业务详细信息The sandy beaches and shallow waters of the Adriatic Sea are great draws for families with children. If you want to experience both – and some serious gastronomic delights to boot – Il Pioppeto Camping should definitely make your shortlist.
This family-run site sits right on the beach on the outskirts of Marina di Vasto (five minutes’ drive or a half-hour walk), in the central Abruzzo region of Italy. It’s also a mere 10-minute walk from the local train station of Vasto–S. Salvo – though the owners will be happy to arrange pick-up from there.
And there’s lots more to the kid-friendliness of this place than just the soft sand of the nearby beach. Whether you have young children or sullen teenagers, there are plenty of organised activities for them here, from games to sporting events (plus a play area), not to mention evening entertainment for the entire family.
And what about those gastronomic delights mentioned earlier? Well, they start flowing in the morning, when the aromas of freshly baked breakfast pastries and strong espresso will waft all the way from the bar to your nostrils. The restaurant serves regional dishes (including fish and seafood specialities) and pizzas, or you can shop for local products – from fruit and bread, to cheese and charcuterie – at the on-site food shop.
A long cycle path runs parallel to the beach, so you can get your morning’s exercise before hitting the sand; by the way, if you’re travelling with your canine companions (welcome on site, as long as they are kept on a lead), there’s a dog-friendly beach a 20-minute walk away.
In addition to a toilet block with facilities for disabled guests, there are hot-water showers (with token), a parent-and-baby room and a washing-up area.

Check out Aqualand del Vasto (15 minutes’ drive), an aquatic park with twisting waterslides, a lazy river and multiple pools (including a wave pool). Classes (from aquafitness to yoga-style sessions) take place in the fitness area, and there are also entertainment options, from live music to dance performances.
Circled by ancient fortifications, the old centre of Termoli (25 minutes) is a labyrinth of narrow alleyways spreading around the Romanesque Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Purification. Catch an exhibition at the medieval Castello Svevo fortress, or a ferry to the Tremiti Islands offshore.
Fara San Martino (one hour) is the gateway to the Parco Nazionale della Maiella, a mountainous nature reserve laced with hiking trails and dotted with waterfalls, where you might spot wolves, otters and deer.
