A day out in the Alps? Walks in the Pilat Regional Natural Park? A day in Lyon? Horse riding? Taking the kids to a theme park or waterpark? All are easily done from Camping des Eydoches, in the Rhône-Alpes village of Faramans. Also easily done is time spent on site, as this family-friendly site is well equipped with facilities, including a heated swimming pool, table tennis, badminton and volleyball courts, plus play areas and a bouncy castle for the kids. For further activity, you need only take a short walk to the next-door golf course or the pond (which is suitable for fishing as well as waterside wanders). The team here have set up the site to make life as convenient as possible, with all sorts of amenities laid on including a food shop, a launderette, a washing-up area and bathroom blocks that have accessible facilities and baby bathrooms as well as toilets and showers. Even organising your holiday meals should be pretty straightforward here, as there’s a restaurant and pizzeria five minutes’ walk away, and shops 10 minutes’ walk away in the village. La Côte St André is 10 minutes’ drive away for more restaurants and supermarkets for your barbecue supplies.

喜欢: Ottimo campeggio molto tranquillo gestito da una persona accogliente e molto gentile pronta a soddisfare ogni richiesta. Il campeggio è piccolo e pare di essere in vacanza con la famiglia. Pulito .Attrezzato pure di una cucina condivisa con frigoriferi E fornelli. Consigliato!

2 间卧室 豪华旅行帐篷 (遮蔽式阳台)

喜欢: The campsite manager was very friendly and helpful, as were all staff. The pool was clean and pleasant as was the pool area. The safari tent was comfortable and clean, with sufficient kitchen equipment, fridge with little freezer. There was a little market (two vans) that came on one of the days, which was nice. The bouncy castle for the kids was a nice touch. Fresh baked goods can be ordered for the next morning (other than for Monday morning as the bakery is closed). It is a pleasant rural campsite (with very few British - which is nice). We felt very much like we were in proper France. Lots of water points, so easy access to drinking water.

不喜欢: The toilets, although they are cleaned frequently, are quite basic and the floors got quite dirty - though the site provide a hose and mop for users to clean, so fellow users are more to blame than the campsite. The showers weren't very powerful, but were sufficient to clean. The lights are on a timer/sensor, so turn off half way through washing up and you have to dance to turn them on again, but it's better for the environment and reduces bugs/mosquitoes.

喜欢: Quiet site when we were there, with basic but clean facilities. pool was clean and a welcome site after a 6 hr drive in the heat. Nice walk at the rear of the site around a well kept lake.

Want to start by exploring the local countryside? There are plenty of places to get out for a walk or bike ride nearby, either from the site or from local villages, and a couple of equestrian centres just outside Faramans for those who’d like to tour on horseback. More challenging hikes can be found by driving an hour or so east to the Vercors and Chartreuse mountains or travelling a similar distance west to the Pilat Regional Natural Park. Mix in a bit of urban time with a day exploring the museums and historic streets of Lyon (an hour’s drive) or going up to Grenoble (45 minutes) to ride the bubble-style cable car up to the Bastille fortress. On a much smaller scale is the village of Saint-Antoine-l’Abbaye (35 minutes), one of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France for its medieval abbey and half-timbered houses. Family days out are in good supply around here too: try the waterslides at Aqualib’ (10 minutes), the treetop trails and ziplines at Parc Oasis Aventura (20 minutes), the wildlife trails at Safari de Peaugres (45 minutes) or the rides at Walibi Rhône-Alpes (50 minutes). It’s also really worth making a trip to Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval (25 minutes), an extraordinary building constructed by one man over 33 years, mainly using stones picked up on his post round.
