喜欢: The pool, the slides (which the lovely owner opened up for us for the morning ahead of their high season as he saw 3 Irish kids chomping at the bit to try them out), the lovely staff

喜欢: The pool was good and the slides well kept. Toilet facilities were cleaned daily and generally well kept (if a little outdated). Pitch was a good size and WIFI for one device was well received. Staff were friendly and some spoke English.

不喜欢: The noise on an evening was quite loud across the whole site and whilst this was expected, it sometimes went on quite late (midnight on a Friday) which made it difficult for our 5 year old to sleep. Whilst the toilets were cleaned daily, some of the residents obviously had lower standards and a few times on an evening, some toilets were out of order due to poor usage; a review of facilities during the evening could easily rectify this. On reflection, it did seem quite expensive for a 3-star site. Site was on a busy road so no real option to use our bikes to go anywhere, with little in the local area but a short drive into the beautiful town of Royan which has everything you would need.

当地景点

The beach closest to the site is the two-and-a-half-kilometre stretch at Royan, five kilometres away, which is fully family friendly and on a nicely mild slope to make it suitable for kids. Families should also like a potter among the gardens and trees of Royan's promenade, and seeing the boats and fishing fleet at the town's busy harbour, the departure point of boat trips along the coast. Royan's setting of the Gironde estuary is the biggest estuary in western Europe, where the Dordogne and Garonne rivers meet. It has three UNESCO World Heritage Sites (the Blaye Citadel, Fort Pâté and Fort Médoc), boat trips among its marshes, and a wide variety of wildlife to spy. You can also catch a ferry across the estuary from Royan to Le Verdon-sur-Mer. About 12 kilometres south of Royan at the fishing port of Meschers-sur-Gironde, the caves of Régulus make up an extensive troglodyte settlement, carved into rock above the seafront. From there move on to Talmont, the scenic small village on the northern side of the Gironde estuary, with medieval ramparts and handsome 11th-century church.
