'All you need is Camping Les Amiaux,' reckons its amiable team. As is very much the case if you're looking for a large and lively family park with activities, entertainment and facilities for all ages – and possibly also a big sandy beach 800 metres away through a pretty woodland path? Sorted, sorted and oh so sorted. There are 16 hectares of handsome grounds for you and the kids to let loose at here, set next to a pine forest close to the Vendée seaside town of Saint-Jean-de-Monts. Much more of the same is within easy reach, as the sands, cycle paths and overall splendidness of the island of Noirmoutier are a short drive to the north and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez and Saint Gilles Croix de Vie are 25 minutes' south. You may, however, opt to plonk and put roots down on the sands of Saint-Jean-de-Monts: they stretch for a lush eight kilometres... There are excellent watery options to be had on site too, with a big waterpark and waterslides, a paddling pool with a roomy water playground for small splashers, an indoor heated pool for covered dips, and a sundeck for idle times after all that. Active sorts can plunge in for aqua aerobics or aqua zumba too, part of the busy activities and entertainment programme Mondays to Fridays in summer that includes a kids' club, archery sessions, sports competitions and evening karaoke, games and concerts. More? Read on... you can take yourself off to the fitness room, hire a bike to investigate the local trails, or bang a ball around at the table tennis tables, tennis and volleyball courts or multisports field. As you'll then need a break, wifi is available at reception, at the bar and in designated areas throughout the site. Camping Les Amiaux also has a restaurant, takeaway and well-stocked grocery shop – all you need, indeed...

喜欢 Large flat pitch hedged for privacy.
Toilets were clean and well maintained.
Used scooters to visit beach about 8 to 10 mins from site.
Pool was good clean with 3 slides and sunbeds to use. Indoor and outdoor pool.
Cafe and bar on site very reasonable priced also a shop which was well stocked on site.
We used the washer and dryer at 6€ for a large load.
Staff super helpful

喜欢 Campsite, beautiful landscaping with plenty of mature trees and shrubs. Peaceful and quiet. Baby pool is well thought out. Sanitaires are clean and have hot water, but are rather cramped and need more hooks to hang up towels, clothes and bags. Baby baths are very good. Charming young staff are very helpful.

不喜欢 The shop is a disgrace. No stock, empty freezers. No food fresh frozen or tinned. No nappies. I felt so sorry for the people arriving and in need of the means of survival. Perhaps you are trying to drive them into the restaurant. Incidentally, the chips are awful, big and soggy. No local information or site-map provided.

不喜欢 Asked to change our pitch to one across from us as my solar was blocked on the one given and was refused even tho there were loads of pitches empty and were still empty when we were leaving , Paid WiFi I don’t mind that but they must have some sort of signal blocker for 4g as it was working outside the gate and as soon as you go in the gate it drops off and you are offered there paid service 🤩

If you're there in June, the bonfires are a must. Plenty of adventure and animal parks are close by, including Explora Parc within five minutes' drive, Atlantic Toboggan (15 minutes) and Youpla Land (20 minutes). Inland, it's 50 minutes' drive to Planete Sauvage, a safari and marine park covering more than 80 hectares and home to nearly 1,000 animals of 150 different species. Noirmoutier is accessible 25 minutes' drive away via the Passage du Gois.
