Camping Ardresien

Being only a few minutes’ walk from Lac d’Ardres (along a direct path from the site) means your first outing is likely to be there, for a waterside walk or perhaps to rent a pedalo for some time on the water. For other outdoor activities nearby, climb into the trees at Adventure Course Guines (10 minutes’ drive), play a round at Golf du Bois de Ruminghem (20 minutes) or join boat tours from places like Saint-Martin-lez-Tatinghem (25 minutes). If you’ve got the kids with you, you may like to plan trips to Saint Joseph Village (10 minutes), to visit the replica traditional village with things like workshops and a waterfall, and Fééryland (15 minutes), full of colourful games and rides for youngsters. And of course there’s always the option of a seaside outing – Calais (25 minutes) is home to the City of Lace and Fashion museum and Musée Memoire as well as its ferry port and sandy beaches, and there are several other lovely spots including Cap Blanc-Nez and wildlife-filled National Nature Reserve Platier Oye (both half an hour).
