This area is famed for its outdoor options too, so get active with some canoeing, paragliding, rock climbing, hiking and cycling on and around the Tarn and the Grands Causses Natural Regional Park. Another heady option around the region is the limestone outcrop of Montpellier-le-Vieux, high up from Millau in the national park. Five trails leading between carved natural structures are around here to explore; if you'd rather not walk, a tourist train takes the curious to the main viewpoints.
