There’s a real personal touch to stays at Camping La Molière – this Lozère region site is small enough that the team can offer a warm welcome to all guests and offer up local tips to help everyone make the most of their time in this lovely area. The site’s location is an enticing one too – it’s in the little village of Vébron, with the Tarnon river a couple of minutes’ walk away and the stunning scenery of the Cévennes National Park all around. The national park’s visitor centre is 15 minutes’ drive away at Florac, but the team on site will do their best to make sure you’ve got all the info you need – they lend out hiking maps and are happy to advise on the area’s various sporting and tourist activities (climbing, canyoning, donkey rides… take your pick…) The village location is a handy one, as it means easy access to the village store, the weekly farmers’ market (in season), the large wooden playground and the various events in the village square (live music in summer, pétanque games whenever the weather's right…) You're welcome to use the shared barbecues to cook up whatever you’ve purchased at the shop/market, but there's also a little snack bar on site serving up burgers made with local produce (goat’s cheese and ceps in particular) along with beers brewed in a neighbouring village. Also on site are kids’ games and a wifi connection – and there’s a chance to take a dip in the river, with access to the water from the bottom of the campsite.

喜欢 Camping superbe, au bord d’une petite rivière. Les propriétaires du camping sont super sympas, les gens en général qui y sont, comme les habitués avec qui nous avons bien discuté sont également très accueillants et bienveillants. Le restaurant est super, les sanitaires sont très propres et les emplacements sont parfaits, c’est une ambiance très conviviale et familiale. Rien à dire de plus, nous reviendrons très certainement l’année prochaine!

There are some spectacular landscapes around the Cévennes National Park – and some fun ways to see them, whether you fancy themed hikes, mountain bike trails, donkey rides or action-packed days of climbing and canyoning. The Chaos de Nîmes-le-Vieux (15 minutes' drive) and Gorges du Tarn Causses (45 minutes) are a couple of popular spots nearby for hikes, or you may like to see what lies under the surface at Aven Armand (half an hour) and Grotte de Dargilan (40 minutes). The weather observatory at the top of Mont Aigoual (half an hour) is another interesting spot to visit. If you’re bringing the kids, take a look at family-friendly outings to places like Cevennes Evasion tree-climbing park (20 minutes) or head to House of the Vultures (45 minutes) to see the big birds in action.
