An hour from Dieppe stayed on way and on way back

A good campsite in a beautiful area, close to the city of Rouen.

喜欢 Large pitches with running water and electricity on each. Hedges in between pitches which gives some privacy. Well stocked reception with friendly helpful staff.
The campsite is in a lovely area with the pretty village of Jumieges within walking distance that has a couple of restaurants. A mile and a half away is the village of Yainville which has a shop, plus a bus stop with almost hourly services throughout the day to Rouen.
All in all a good campsite and I would stay here again.

不喜欢 Maybe they could add an extra toilet block and shower area but if you timed it right then there is no problems.

喜欢 Excellent welcome at reception. Beautiful location near the Seine. The pitch had running water and electricity, the showers were clean with plenty of hot water. Pool was a welcome extra. Will definitely visit again

喜欢 Convenient stop over for one night travelling from Dieppe ferry to the south.
Bar open but not the snack bar (29/6/25 was too early apparently).
Good showers.
Easy access.

喜欢 Friendly reception and location. Hot water for washing up and in showers.

不喜欢 Very busy and cramped site. Pool was very small and people weren’t showering before entry; the foot bath at entrance was full of leaves. Toilets and washing areas at top end of site were dark and unclean. Rubbish bins were overflowing.

Local town Jumièges is most famed for its abbey, hailed by Mr Victor Hugo as 'the most beautiful ruins in France' (nothing miserable about his trip there, then). An abbey of some sort has stood here since the seventh century, in a pretty parkland setting above the Seine; in a later incarnation, the abbey was consecrated in the presence of William the Conqueror. Heading towards the Normandy coast (you really should), about an hour and a half will take you to Cabourg, on the Côte Fleurie and the coast of the English Channel. This swish town has been a popular Normandy seaside resort since the middle of the 19th century (and also has a writerly connection, as the oft-incomprehensible Marcel Proust was a fan of the sands here). Cabourg is famed these days for its art galleries and racecourse, casino and annual Romantic Film Festival: do go see. The handsome harbour town of Honfleur, with port painted by Monet, Courbet and others, is just over an hour away: do go see that aussi.
