Quiet time, cicadas and the gentle knell of distant cowbells are the vibe at this coastal Corsica retreat; parting this place is sure to be such sweet sorrow indeed. But don't think about that just yet – think instead about the spectacular sea views, the long stretch of sandy beach that lies in front, and the fably friendly owners. Camping Europa Beach is spread across four hectares of semi-wooded parkland and overlooked by Monte San Petrone and a constellation of villages and hamlets. It's between the Costa d'Oru and the wooded hills of the Castagniccia region, with walks along vast stretches of coastline available direct from site. Lined with mimosas, alders, pines and eucalyptus trees that provide pitches with welcome shade, the park is home plenty of birdlife to look out for as you hang around in the hammock during long lazy afternoons. It's a peaceful place too, far away from main roads but under 40 minutes' drive from the old port city of Bastia. Activity options are well sorted: ping pong tables, billiards, pétanque, table football and pedalos are all here as well as plenty of space for kids to play and among the trees and on the sand. Yoga classes are also available as an extra way to unwind. For eats and drinks, seek out the small but well-stocked mini market or mosey on over to the restaurant: if you're lucky, the owners might even catch and prepare a fish or two for you.

喜欢 Sehr angenehm und unkompliziertes personal und ein ganz Liebes Danke an Roland dem Besitzer. Schade das es zu ende geht aber auch verständlich. Mit 84 Jahren gönne ich Roland seine zukünftige Zeit. Für Gäste mit wenig Anspruch aber mit grossem Hertz ist das ein sehr schöner Ort. Strand war praktisch leer und nicht überfüllt. Wer ruhe sucht findet ihn jetzt noch. Vielen Dank und ganz liebe grüsse an alle

喜欢 Sehr schön naturbelassener Campingplatz. Zum Runterkommen und entspannen genau richtig. Die Leute sind sehr nett und der Besitzer super freundlich! Das Meer direkt vor der Tür und nicht überlaufen.

不喜欢 Leider kann man seine Campingtoilette nicht entleeren und seinen Wassertank auch nicht. Die Duschen sind sehr in die Jahre gekommen und werden leider auch nicht mehr so gereinigt, was wir echt schade fanden.

An equestrian centre and tennis courts lie 500 metres from base. Walks are easy to access from the site too; for hikes further afield, you can reach the forested slopes and winding river valleys of Castagniccia in about 40 minutes by car. As well as 40 per cent of the island being covered in the Corsica Regional Nature Park, there's history aplenty to be found among its archaeological sites and museums: travel across the island and have a wander around the museums in Corte, Bastia, and Ajaccio to learn about the history of the island and one of its most famed former residents, a certain N Bonaparte. A short drive north along the coast will take you to the spectacularly characterful old port town of Bastia; in addition to moseying around the port, make sure you visit the vibrant neighbourhoods of Terra Vecchia and Terra Nova to explore their historic streets and neat little boutiques.
