Located on the hills, only three kilometres away from the renown long beach of Lamione, Les Couchants covers five hectares of land overlooking the magnificent Golf de Sagone. The campsite has an on-site bar/restaurant where you can enjoy an incredible sunset every night. The site also features a laundry, a sports court, a mini-golf, a playground and of course a traditional pétanque ground to play boules with your friends and share a Pastis. Only twenty-five kilometers away from Ajaccio (the main town of the island), the area is bordered by long sandy beaches, beautiful hidden creeks, and charming coves. If you explore the inland territory you will find typical villages, majestic mountains with lakes, rivers and forests. Everything is here to make mountain and beach lovers happy. Tuccia, about fifteen minutes drive away, is a lovely village by the beach of Liscia where you will find everything you need to fill your holiday with joy; numerous shops with local products, bakeries, bars and restaurant. It's also the departure point for boat excursions, where you can explore the west cost of Corsica and enjoy a blazing sunset over the archipelago of the Sauguinaires islands and Capo Rosso. If all you fancy is to lie down, get a tan and spend the whole day at the beach, welcome to paradise! The area has numerous beaches and creeks to soothe your soul. Go check out the long sandy beach of Lamione, Saint Joseph Creek, the cove of Colette or the Liscia beach and take a dip in blue crystal waters. Corsica is also haven to all mountain lovers, a lot of hiking trails are in the area and will take you to amazing view points overlooking the sea and the island. Ajaccio is only one hour away driving, you can visit the main city of the island and find out about its rich historical past and vestiges. The native city of the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte is home to a beautiful cathedral, a fishing port and many shops where you can purchase quality items.
