Ever been surfing in Brittany? If you have, we think you might have heard of Pointe de la Torche, one of the most famed surfing spots in southern Bretagne and in Finistère: windsurfing, body boarding and kitesurfing occur among the foam too. If you haven't been surfing in Brittany, tsk. Sort it out with a stay at Camping de Lanven, which is four kilometres from Pointe de la Torche and Baie d'Audierne, with its long, sandy beaches, surfing and protected plant and animal species. In a central location in Pays Bigouden, the site is a short drive away from megalithic sites, chapels and coastal towns. The wild natural setting provides easy access to the Finistère countryside as well as its seaside and surf. Then, there are the site facilities to look forward to, where highlights include a playground and a small farm where little family members can let off steam. For an afternoon of games, head to the volleyball court or table tennis instead. In the summertime, the site also puts on entertainment based on Breton culture, adding yet more variety. For your meals, head to the small shop at reception to pick up supplies. If you happen to visit during July and August, there is also a snack-bar serving splendid dishes (the kind prepared with local produce), as well as a bread and pastry drop-off service and the option to order yourself a delicious breakfast. The snack-bar comes with a TV room, where there is a small library and board games for laidback activities.

喜欢 Great welcome and hospitality. Level pitches with very good showers and WCs. Quiet site with easy drives to beaches and nearby towns. Perfect location to head to once we leave Roscoff.

不喜欢 Nothing to dislike.

喜欢 Friendly and helpful staff. Not a big site but well laid out. We had flat grass pitch for our VW and awning, private enough and excellent EHU. Food vans or bar available every night. We enjoyed live 3 piece band. Easy drive to shops and beaches. Really great site - a nice little find booking last minute as we drove off the Roscoff ferry.

Activities are proposed and nice choices : live concert, massage, traditionnal old games, pizzafood truck. People working are very pro.

不喜欢 Not easy to leave the dirty water as we have to go in 2 places

不喜欢 Dudaron a cerca de una rotura de puerta en el baño. Afortunadamente al día siguiente arreglaron con disculpas el error cometido hacia el cliente.

不喜欢 J'ai trouvé qui manquait des crochets aux niveaux des cabines pour se laver à la main pour mettre notre sac ou serviettes.

Pointe de la Torche is a topping French surfing spot and is a popular Brittany destination for watersports fans; if you've never dipped a toe in, do it here as there's a local surf school to show you what's what. (And then you can boast back home that you learned to surf in Brittany, doncha know...) Aside from the surf, Camping de Lanven is in a splendid spot to see the rest of south Finistère or Brittany as a whole, whether you want to eat your way around the land via its tasty Breton cuisine, visit the local ports of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Guénolé, hike the kilometres' worth of paths on the GR34, or potter around the Penmarch peninsula. Quimper is less than an hour's drive away: head here to see Brittany at its most ancient among the city's cobbled streets and medieval buildings.
