Watery times are sorted at Camping des Vallées: the staff lay on a shuttle bus from town to a Côtes-d'Armor beach, and all guests get three free entries to the local waterpark per week that they stay.
The beach is that of Plérin-sur-Mer, reached via bus from the site's local town of Saint-Brieu, about a kilometre away: drive, walk or cycle to town, or catch a bus 300 metres from the site entrance. And the waterpark is Aquabaie an easy 150 metres away, where you can tackle the waterslides, pools and diving of its three leisure zones.
This Brittany site is a peaceful place, in green surroundings with trees, shrubs, a stream and plenty of space. It has a snack bar and takeaway, an internet computer at reception and free wifi at the bar. Bread and pastries are available every morning in high season or by order.
A kids' club and regular entertainment run on site in high season.

The beach, waterpark and local town should all be top of your must-see list with a stay at Camping des Vallées, before as many days as you can manage day tripping around other Brittany highlights like Saint-Malo, Dinard, Cancale and Quimper. Cap Frehel is about 32 kilometres away.
Beach first? The sands of Plérin-sur-Mer, reachable via shuttle bus from Saint-Brieu, include the two kilometres of Brittany beach of Les Rosaires, which has kids' beach clubs, sailing lessons, tourist info, shops and restaurants. After that, aquatics centre time at Aquabaie, where there are indoor and outdoor pools, paddling pools, competition swimming lanes and a leisure pool with massage jets.
For a town day, Saint-Brieuc has a medieval quarter, half-timbered buildings, plenty of shops, and a Museum of Art and History. Market days are on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Other day trip options in the region include Binac, about 10 kilometres north of Saint-Brieuc; the fishing town of Paimpol, further along the coast about 40 minutes' drive from the site; Dinard, just over an hour away on the Brittany coast, and neighbouring Saint-Malo, home of city walls to walk.
